To Love Is to Be Happy With

Rate this book
Do you want to he happier?

Are you afraid of being hurt in relationships?

Are you aware of fearing sickness, of wanting to be healthy?

Are you desperate for more money?

Do you say yes to sex when you mean no -- or the reverse?

If you answered yes to any of the above, it's time to consider your options. The Option Process, based on the premise that to love is to be happy with, is an extraordinary new way to discard self-defeating beliefs, to clarify doubts that have for years inhibited your personal and professional success. It is an intimate, dynamic way to release your own inner energies -- including psychic strengths -- that can guide you to a richer, more successful, guilt-free, and happier life.

I'm shy on words for this review. Once you forgive the low-budget editing and proofreading, there is magic in this book. The title is misleading, I think. It's not about love relationships, as you might think, but rather an introduction to the Option Dialogue Process, a powerful tool for uncovering beliefs that underlie our emotions. Not all dialogues wrap up in neat little bundles like the ones in the book, but I understand that they are for demonstrative purposes so I can overlook that. It's really best to read this in conjunction with Barry Neil Kaufman's other books, especially "To Love is To Be Happy With" and check out some of the videos on the Option.org web site to learn more. This is difficult stuff to digest from a book, but having been to the Option Institute and learned much of this in person, I can honestly say it's worth learning however you can.

This book is a difficult one for me to review since I learned a lot from it but it was hard to get through.
This book basically contains what the author refers to as "dialogue sessions" rather than therepy sessions. Barry Kaufman, who goes by Bears, uses a unique technique of unbiased, nonjudgmental questions to help people work through problems. After asking questions Bears just sits back and listens as the person verbally sorts through the problem.
He helps people work through problems in order to forgive and love themselves and others.

Well it took me a bit to get through this. Now so glad I finished. This has given me a way to work out "why" I "choose" to be angry and readjust. I am rarely angry but find little things that create a spark so now I able to let these go to. I breathe and ask myself.....read the book. You will be glad you did.

This book was hard to get into at first mainly because of its bulkiness, but the message it carries is spectacular. We really do get to choose to be happy, and it comes from a place of self love and acceptance. We also must ask ourselves why we're not happy, and continue to ask ourselves why until we reach the root of it. Happiness is possible, the Option process is a fantastic way to start.
