I usually tag the recipes I want to try with a tiny post-it. However, when I realized I would want to try virtually every recipe in this gorgeous book, I gave up. What a wonderful source of information and inspiration! The photos are just lovely. I need to invite someone over for wine and hors d’oeuvres.
What I like most about this book is how it’s structured. The cover is colorful and inviting and the recipes and chapters are broken up in a visually appealing manner. I gave the book a 4 star rating, because as a vegetarian, I am unable to enjoy the majority of the recipes, but the ones that don’t have meat or seafood sound good!
Some attractive and simple recipes for casual partying. The ease of preparation and good ingredients are this book's strengths. The pairing of wines is a bit hit or miss. Some of these "bites" might be better off with beer or another beverage.
This book was really nice to look at and had some really nice recipes but really only a hand full of them. The wine recommendations where not so great either.
These are not "simple" recipes but they sure look and sound delicious. I will be saving a few recipes from this book. I do wish they said what wine to pair it with.
