It's not one of those novels that pre-empts your aspirations and has the characters displaying a multitude of unrealistic traits. Summer Circles has an ease and style about it that makes you comfortable in it's gentle narrative and keeps you reading where lesser novelists would have you reaching for the remote control. The story focuses on the three main female characters during a balmy summer in the fens. It's three love stories, three diverse characters and three satisfactory endings.
