Had this on my sup table and read a bit each meal.. good book. Recommended for grades 3-8.
US history was not taught enough during my school years so I learned a bit from this.
GW’s mom was a bit of a pain but he persevered with the relationship.
He never had kids of his own but two steps who died too young and raised Nellie and George (his grandchildren) at Mt. Vernon.
(Read As I recover from surgery and do PT)
He was CinC for 6 war years. And his presidential salary had 2B supplemented ... so he sold some land.
From 13 colonies to states to USA..wow!
He was quite a military strategist !!

What I liked: When he rode into battle. It was funny when his mother in boyhood was stubborn.
What I didn't like: When he died.
