This book had a lot of interesting facts in it. The first few chapters are based on dated material since the book was published in 1989. However, the rest of the book is NOT dated. Facts about the human body - hearing, seeing, tasting, life spans compared to generations, animals, countries, centuries past and more hooked me into reading it in a day!

So, as another reviewer said, it’s really outdated. But beyond that, the studies mentioned aren’t cited in any meaningful way. I don’t believe this book would ever be published today because it borders on mysongynistic. Some factoids were interesting but not enough to carry the book. I don’t feel like there is enough here to even donate the book so into the recycle bin it goes.
