A nurse working at a recovery hospital, a doctor with no respect for her or others, a handsome injured soldier, and old friends and supportive families make this an enjoyable read. Probably would have slept better if I had finished it in one go as opposed to sleeping fitfully wondering what would happen next, lol. Romance and trying to fit in with past issues trying to wreck the present made it exciting. Highly recommend.

This is the story of Molly, who is a nurse in trying times, times of war and devastating injuries to soldiers. The doctor she works for is awful to her. She meets Eddie, and they hit it off right away, the chemistry is undeniable. But Eddie's past haunts him and is coming after him, in the form of his criminal brother. This is a very emotional tale, the kind that Grace Clemens excels at writing. It is a very good one to read!

A Delightful Story of Second Chances
Eddie was rescued by Molly from a trench after bring shot fighting the civil war. This started a wonderful romance with a few surprises and some danger. Eddie had a secret he was trying desperately to keep. When it comes out he feels that the life he has built will come crashing down. The book has great characters and an interesting plot. It was very enjoyable and quite emotional.

Never too Late to Change
A beautiful tale of bad turning to good. Even a person who has lived a life of crime will find forgiveness when they change to a freedom fighter during war. Nurse Molly has no idea where her career will lead when she comes face to face with Eddy. Will this become a dream come true or disaster? A story worth spending time with.

a very good story
I liked this book a lot! The characters are very true to life. A nurse and the young man she drags from the trenches of war and saves his life. They fall in love with someone in the background threatening their love and lives. I assume this was the Civil war, but which war was never mentioned; even so, a very good read!

Grace Clemens has once again given us a story that keeps moving, has humor, romance, and a few twists and turns. Her characters are interesting and you want to know what happens to them. I enjoyed this book.

Inspirational romance
Too much frustration/lies for my taste. Plus one of us best parts of the story...extended epilogue did not load. Too many redirects from your site was the error. Distasteful that these are not already part of the book.

What a wonderful story. It was so hard to put this book down. Grace Clemens did a great job writing this story. The characters were so true to life! Thank you!

Great book. Eddie’s past is always hanging like a dark cloud in the background. Molly is a heroine we want you to cheer for the entire time. Eddie developed the strength to move away from his past and create a new life.

Molly is a nurse who goes out on the battlefields and gets wounded men in a cart with a doctor. Eddie is a wounded soldier they bring back to their hospital. He is a good man who is hiding his past, hoping it won’t come back on him.

I really enjoyed reading this story. Reading Molly's story on how she worked hard to help her patients and of how her and Edward come together was really good.
