BARBARA MCCAULEY is the author of over 30 best-selling romance novels, including "Blackhawk's Sweet Revenge," the first volume of her popular SECRETS! series for Silhouette. Her work has been nominated eight times by the Romance Writers of America ® for Best Short Contemporary in the prestigious RITA contest. She has also received numerous "Top Picks" from Romantic Times magazine, plus several Best Short Desire and "W.I.S.H." awards for her hunky heroes, and two Career Achievement Awards. A native of Southern California, Ms. McCauley enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and working in her garden when she can manage to break away from her computer. "I love to cook," says Barbara, "but when I'm on a tight deadline, quick recipes and take-out are essential." The youngest of five children growing up, she discovered early the peaceful satisfaction of daydreams and reading a good book. She remains an avid reader today, indulging her love of romance whenever possible.
Three different books. All three novellas in this anthology are fairly simple stories, with not much angst, drama, or getting into feels. Light and fluffy. The first story is insta-love (like, really, really insta love). I normally don't appreciate insta-love. The second story is second chance. The third story is kind of jilted-bride meets supposed-to-be-a-hookup meets second-chance.
First story is Sophia's story (sister of Tina from book one) was the best of the three stories, but was a bit inconsistent. It stated in the first book that Tina was the youngest but in this one it says Rachel is the youngest sister. Doesn't really matter but not of fan of the inconsistencies.
This was a good book in the middle of the series to tie loose ends up of the other people involved in the Danforth's lives. This needs to be done more within each book in the series.
Stories all touching the Danforth Dynasty series. Maureen Child's touched a couple other characters as well. I enjoyed it. Some of the stories seemed to move a little quick, but still a fast fun read.
