I couldn’t put it down. After Ashes of Eden, I wasn’t sure how the stakes could get any higher, but Crowned exploded those expectations. The lore is rich, the Nine Kings are terrifying and fascinating, and Baba Doek. Chilling. That ending left me with chills. Preacher’s struggle to save the woman he loves while facing Hell itself. Heart-wrenching. Bring on book 3. I’m not emotionally ready, but I need it.
