The ten guiding principles for living a "blessed life" highlights the importance of generosity, effort, patience, ethics, simplicity, meditation, wisdom, thoughtfulness, steadfastness, equanimity, and loving-kindness, drawing on stories and anecdotes to illustrate the value of each virtue. Original.
The book has its really good points indeed. Yet I didn't like one thing about it, the author uses the science as he wishes. He dismisses some points of scientific thinking and uses some others... Well, I don't know how comfortable I am about this. On the other hand, I apparently have reached many points that he brought up in the book, before I read the book. I must admit that felt good.
A good basic statement of principles along with some visualization exercises. It was a fair read, but not as powerful as some of the others I've recently completed.
