Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t a bad book or anything but it also couldn’t really keep my interest despite having some really good moments —like the date with the paint, y’all!
So yeah, I’m just moving on to new reads instead of finishing this.
Book #3 sounds pretty interesting, tho. Let’s see next year.

Love Molly and Seven 🥰
It was so good to revisit the Big Bertha Boys. I love how the found family works and how Molly fitted into the group.
The dates were ridiculously cute and I'm completely obsessed with Molly's energy. Love how he was so desperate to win over the cat 😂
This story universe is definitely my happy place and I really enjoy every new story that comes along.
Cannot wait to read Will and Keller now, and I'm dying for Madden's story.

4.5 ⭐️ So far, each book in this series has been a great surprise! I just love the Accidental Love boys.
I didn't expect the characters, especially Seven, to have so much emotional baggage due to their childhood and life experiences. But it was what made this story really special and added complexity to Molly and Seven's relationship.
Even though fake dating can get boring and repetitive to me, I think the author made it fun and refreshing in Not Dating Material. I think it has to do with the characters' no-nonsense attitude and their honesty. Because Molly has such bad luck with guys, Seven becomes his "dating coach" and they go on dates so that Seven can point out what Molly's doing wrong. Throughout the story, they don't hide their thoughts, feelings and attraction towards each other, which is so nice to read. There is not a lot of miscommunication, and even with the 80% conflict, it's understandable. You get where the characters come from and why they act that way, so it's not frustrating when there's a bit of conflict between them.
I absolutely adored Molly and Seven's connection. They get along so well! Instead of being weirded out by Molly's excitable nature like other guys, Seven embraces it. In turn, Molly is understanding of Seven's hang-ups and of his close relationship with Xander. Their dates together are cute and wholesome, and when they finally gave in to their physical attraction, their chemistry is great. The scenes are hot, but also full of care.
I'm so glad Molly got his happy ending with Seven.
One of my favourite moments was the art studio date. It was written so well!
These boys are just so sweet! There are so many little interactions like this that made be smile. I'm looking forward to the other books in the series!

I'm not sure how to review this book and do it justice.
It's a very different narrative from the previous book in this series and it deals with some pretty serious childhood traumas, although the references aren't detailed on page, you still feel the weight of their affect decades later.
There's obviously still some humour, it wouldn't be a Saxon book without it, but it's not the typical slapstick, madcap style of her college boys. Seven and Molly are both slightly older, they've got hang-ups, real ones with deep seated reasons.
Still, it's obvious from the start that they're attracted to each other, even if Seven's determined that he's too damaged and broken for a relationship and Molly's still smarting from the embarrassment of kissing Ford in Budding Attraction and then running away to Seattle.
The Big Bertha Boys take him in and give him a new home and a found family, although he struggles to feel like he's not a spare part or too much work, until Seven decides he'll help him with his dating issues.
Together they find that they mesh, Molly understands Seven and Xander's mutual co-dependency and he's not intimidated or afraid of it. He wants to be there for Seven like the big tattooed gentle giant is there for Xander.
No spoilers, but watching the two of them muddle through the practice dates where Seven tries to determine where Molly goes wrong, is both super sweet and mildly heart-breaking, as you can see how much Molly is desperate to find someone who puts him first.
Seven struggles a lot with his feelings and it takes a bit of a short, sharp shock, for him to realise just how close he's coming to losing a true chance at happiness.
I loved how this plot played out, there's ups and downs, highs and some really quite painful to read lows, but the book never becomes mired in sadness. With a gentle touch, Saxon brings these two men together and shows them that a happy ending can be possible no matter what's caused them pain in the past.

I adore Saxon James. She’s my go-to joy bringer in book form. But THIS ONE RIGHT HERE is my favourite ever.

I love the found family aspects in this series. This series is centered around a houseful of roommates who support and love each other; who have chosen to be family.
I loved the first one and I also love this one... but not as much.
Seven is great, but he's a huge emotionally distant horndog to everyone he sleeps with. He doesn't date. And there's some huge issues with him feeling not worthy and it permeates this book throughout and is such a bummer. I hate negative motivation and he is FULL of it... and it's a big part of the main conflict of this book. However, he's a wonderful human being and I love him.
Molly (male) is a ray of sunshine and, while he has his own issues, he's willing to try and put himself out there. He wants to be loved.
Part of the fun of this book is seeing the free and open way the friends around these men show love and affection.
There may be some co-dependance... but it's the kind I dream for. People who have chosen to be family and stick it out for you!? Yes, please.
I wish there wasn't so many reminders of other men that both of these guys have been with... but, I still loved it.

- The first scene is Molly walking in on Seven being the victim of revenge porn. So, we hear a lot about Seven's sexual past. But, as soon as he meets Molly, he doesn't look at another man. And Molly has dated around... he's a bit desperate. Once he meets Seven, he pretty much wants him, but does go on a date with another man when Seven makes it clear that he's not going to go in on a relationship with Molly.
- Consent is great.
- Therapy rep... and some fabulous healthy relationships throughout (or healthy as you can get in this situation), including Molly's loving and supportive father.

This is the best Saxon James book so far.
It's warm.. emotional.. funny.. hot.
I loved everything about Molly and Seven, and as a Molly's hater from The divorced men club series I'm really impressed, I never expected to love him that much, he's personality was so interesting here, the opposite from the dull one from the other books.
The development of their characters was really enjoyable to read about. The small details between them warmed my heart literally. The hugs, The dates.. The tattoo.. The comic.. The vegetables pie. Every thing was perfect.
I really loved this book, and Xander!! OMG I need a book about him please. Plus all the boys they're really cute. I adore their relationship together.
Keller appearance made me smile hardly, I love the man.

If people think I’m protective of Xander, that’s nothing to how I’d be with someone like Molly. Someone so sweet, and pure, and innocent. I’d suffocate him.

Out of the 19 Saxon James books I’ve read, this is by far my favorite couple. Molly and Seven live in my brain like little worms 🐛 (or sevipuses… sevipi?). I loved every second of this. I would write more but it would just be me gushing about how much I love Molly so I’ll spare you.

After his life comes crashing down, Molly moves to Seattle to get a fresh start. What he finds, is a too-big house filled with eccentric roommates, a nosy neighbor with a good heart, and a cat that doesn't quite trust Molly yet. It's...something, but it's a good place to start over. But he picks yet another bad guy for a date. Seven, Molly's roommate, gives him some hard truths to help his dating life out, and Molly asks Seven to help make him dating material.
Seven agrees because he owes Molly a favor, but he's reinforcing his walls so that nothing bad happens. Except, somehow, Molly weasels his way in the gaps and sets up residence in Seven's heart. This isn't something Seven is used to, nor is it something that he really wants, but he can't say he doesn't like it...even if it will only end in heartbreak.
I had the pleasure of getting an ARC of The Husband Hoax earlier this year, and I absolutely loved it! I couldn't wait to read Seven and Molly's story, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Found family is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and this series is full of it. All of the guys that live at Big Bertha (and Gabe and Christian) are so close and their own little family. Just like with any of Saxon's books I've read before, the interactions between all of the characters had me laughing many times, and I loved their relationships with each other.
Seven and Molly are both very complex and damaged characters, but their journey of learning to love and accept themselves and each other is an incredible story. I loved how they both naturally brought out the best in each other, and they make a great couple. I'm excited to get the rest of the guys' stories!

weird weird weird. the made up cuss words , understandable at first but got annoying.
the no boundaries between xander and seven. fucking weird.
related to molly way too much and that’s why i know he’s gonna let himself be treated like shit and not be seen as a priority because of xander and sevens “friendship”. molly wants to be loved so bad that’s he’s just gonna accept it.
there’s no way that seven is ever gonna put himself first or his relationship with molly first. xander is ALWAYS going to be his main priority and he literally said/thought/implied that multiple times.
i understand that seven and xander went through a lot growing up but every single thought seven had , whether it was sexual , romantic , platonic , etc , his first thought was xander. seven having sex with molly , xander. seven wanting to be better for molly , xander. i don’t think seven had a single thought about himself or molly that didn’t include xander.
xander admitting he used to perv on seven , KNOWING what seven went through in his foster home. WEIRDO BEHAVIOR.
then xander talking about how hot it is to think about seven fucking molly. WERIDO BEHAVIOR.
you absolutely cannot tell me that there wasn’t something between x and s.
reading the bonus epilogue and cant even get past the first page. xander is sleeping in their fucking bed. BE SO FR. i understand having a bestfriend and someone who you’ve been through a lot with but either date him or set boundaries. xander rubbing all up on both seven and molly. ITS WEIRD.

Molly moved to Seattle for a fresh start and to escape the embarrassment of what he did to Ford & Orson, but even thousands of miles away from home things are much the same. He still feels lonely, an outsider even among his new roommates, and the men he’s been dating aren’t any different than back in Kilborough.
After another failed date, one of Molly’s (very hot) roommates, Seven, hits him with some hard facts but offers to help him—they’ll go on a couple dates, he’ll point out the things Molly is doing wrong, and there will be no sex or strings involved. Easy peasy!
These two adorable idiots, oh my goooodddd. I’ve been reading this chapter by chapter on patreon, and once I got my hands on a completed arc I devoured it. Molly & Seven have stolen my heart so absolutely, and I loved watching them fall for each other (even if Seven was a total dumbo). They’re just so perfect for each other, and balance each other out so well. So precious!
I need more of the Big Boned Bertha babies ASAP!

These two adorable idiots, oh my goooodddd. I’ve been reading this chapter by chapter on patreon, and once I got my hands on a completed arc I devoured it. Molly & Seven have stolen my heart so absolutely, and I loved watching them fall for each other (even if Seven was a total dumbo). They’re just so perfect for each other, and balance each other out so well. So precious!

I think I’m at the point where characters refusing to be with the person they clearly want to be with because ✨sad✨ just isn’t doing it for me anymore.
I really liked Molly but Seven made me mad a lot. And the made-up curses kept throwing me off, even in the beautiful Teddy Hamilton’s voice. Like, how dare you make me mad at Teddy?
I was a lot more interested in what Xander and Derek were doing over there… 👀 like, hello, I’ll take that book right now, please and thank you.
I’m not taking this review seriously at all but I really just don’t want to think about this book anymore. The pierced 🍆 was cool I guess.

Not Dating Material by Saxon James was so cute and sweet, I think it gave me a cavity. 🤣🤣 But I loved it!

This was an emotionally engaging story with spice and heart. There were several moments of laughter as well. This group of roommates have a good thing going. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It brings out those gooey heart eyes 😍

Molly moves to Settle for a fresh start, hoping to have better luck with his love life. Madden, who Molly met in college through his best friend Will, lets him move in with all his roommates. The Bertha Boys as they call themselves. These boys and Auntie Agatha are the best! I love Agatha to pieces. Madden tries to help Molly by setting him up on dates, which doesn’t go all that well.
Seven is weighted down by his past and let’s it dictate his life, without realizing he’s standing in his own way. A fast/easy friendship develops between Seven, Molly and Xander, considering Seven and Xander are a package deal. They have such an intimate bonded, and are really close like brothers but it’s all platonic between them. Xander has really bad medical anxiety, that Seven has always helped him with it. Just like Xander is always there for Seven. They had a really rough upbringing, the story doesn’t go into a lot of details about the trauma they endured. There is one scene where Seven opens up to Molly about his past. Molly just fits in with them and accepts their relationship without question.
These two are such morons when it comes to each other and just talking things out. Both fall fast but are too afraid to admit to it. The house rules are the roommates can’t date. It’s also in the agreement they made, when Seven offered to help Molly out and coach him on how to date.
When Molly agrees to go on a date with another man, Xander gets Seven to see the error of his decision. Seven decides to fight for what he wants and that’s to be with Molly. He knew Molly was it for it but was afraid of getting hurt, when he pushed him away. He shows up to Molly’s date and confesses his feelings to him. So swoon worthy too, I might add.

“For you to pull your head out of your ass.”

This was such a good, fast read. I read it in a few hours. I devoured this and can’t wait for more of these boys. I really hope we can Xander’s story and get to see him fall in love, while keeping the friendship alive with Seven and Molly.

This was cute.
It could have been better. While I liked Molly and Seven together and apart, I didn't love them. They were nice together and there was some good steam between them, but it wasn't amazing.
Seven had a really tough childhood, but would you know it if we weren't told? Not really. Seven is actually pretty well adjusted, honestly, for what he went through. Yeah, at the end Keller offers to pay for a therapist for Seven, which he does need. But badly? Doesn't really come across in this all that much.
For what he went through, I honestly would expect him to be in a much worse place mentally. But overall, he does okay. Not amazing, but okay. It's just a little too easy, I guess. Or light?
I know this author is a fluffy type of author and I love and enjoy that. But if you introduce something so serious, I feel like it should be treated as such? And while in some ways it is, in others it is not.
I just wish the subject matter had been given greater gravitas, that it actually felt like Seven was a deeply traumatized person. Xander did, and he was just a secondary character in this. But it just didn't, at least not most of the time. At times it was touching on it, but it didn't get deeper in the slightest.
It just made for, honestly what felt like almost surface level stuff. A little bit shallow.
While these two were good together, I wasn't amazed by it. They had a connection, but not so amazing a connection that I 100% bought the love confessions.
It just didn't get far enough in their relationship for them being at 'in love' to be believable. When they both had thoughts about having fallen for each other, I was a little surprised, to be honest. It just felt like they were in the intense like stage for me. Like they were really enjoying each other and all that, but love? It didn't quite get there for me.
It was also, once again, a little slow for me at a few points. Not as bad as it was for me Keller and Will's story - which had quite the slow beginning for me - but still, a few places here and there.
But this was fun and enjoyable and I did like Molly and Seven a lot, so this still gets a fairly good rating from me, rounded up to 4 stars.
It's still worth a read, just don't expect anything amazing. It's just...another nice romance from this author. Nothing bad, but nothing stand out. Just kinda...middle of the road, as bad as that sounds.
I still look forward to Rush's story (would love to get inside his very scattered mind). And I can't wait for Xander's book, whenever that may be (he and that guy Derek definitely have something going on ;))

One word: Swooooon!
Molly and Seven; these guys brightened my life for two days, I couldn’t stop smiling. I enjoyed this book very much, it’s cute, funny and emotional.
Characters like Molly are my kryptonite. He’s a cute little sunshine and you can’t help but love him instantly. His relationship with Seven is predictable because we all know how it ends with fake dating, but their journey to get there is amazing.
Seven is a sweetheart, his life hasn’t always been easy but he’s resilient and I love his protective personality, especially toward Xander. I love their relationship, they’re a package deal and Seven would never jeopardize their bond for a man who wouldn’t accept it. Of course Molly is the perfect man he dreamed about. Molly and Xander are very much alike and they clicked. They make a funny duo, I love them! Molly didn’t hesitate to take care of Xander when he had a panic attack and I think Seven fell in love with him that day.
Molly and Seven are great together and the spice is spicy (another word: piercings). I love their discussions and time spent together, they have a wholesome relationship. Our broken boy Seven deserved some sunshine in his life and Molly is exactly who he needed. He takes care of Seven like nobody did before and it makes me feel emotional thinking about it because this boy deserves it so much. As for him, Molly wanted to be a priority to the man he loves and he finally found his person in Seven. These two are really the cutest.
I love all the secondary characters as well, especially Xander. I absolutely adore him! He’s my baby boo and fellow hypochondriac. I cannot wait to read his book, I think it will make me feel seen and I might cry. If Derek is the love interest, it’s going to be so good and I know that they will break me, but I’m so ready for it.
This series is getting better and better and the characters are all amazing, I love their little found family. Not Dating Material is a book I would read again and again with pleasure and I highly recommend it.

Molly's sweet awkwardness and almost desperate demeaner was so pure and Seven's protectiveness when it comes to Xavier was to die for. They made me swoon big time and whilst there were some serious parts, the banter helped significantly keep the mood up and the spice was the metaphorical cherry on top of an already great book!

I used to love Saxon's books, but the last few solo titles of hers I have had a problem getting through them. This one in particular was so aggravating. One of the MCs, Molly, a name which had me rolling my eyes every time I read it, was so childish in his behavior I couldn't find anything redeemable about him. As a twist on the fake dating trope, it just seemed redundant to everything she's done before. This first 25% was filled with so many cringe moments I lost count.

Let’s start with the one criteria that more often than not made me stick with a less than overwhelming book - the narration.
When I saw that it’s a book by Saxon James, narrated by Teddy Hamilton, I clicked “buy”. Yes, I knew that the reviews were mixed, but I had in mind that I usually liked listening to this narrator, even though he’s not in my top 5. And I thought it might be a decent book to listen to after all, even if the story isn’t top notch.
My mistake.
If I liked Teddy before, I certainly couldn’t remember why here. In fact, it might be the main reason I ditched the book, because I really hated the voices he gave Seven and Molly. And mind you, I really mean both voices, because I almost couldn’t discern them in a dialogue. No idea why he chose to make them so similar, seeing that Seven is supposed to be (gentle) tattooed and pierced giant, and Molly a sunny, bubbly twink.
Another thing that made it hard for me to get into it: call me shallow, but I just COULDN’T match the name “Molly” with a man. It’s impossible. Why of all available names Saxon chose this name will be a mystery for me.
I can’t say a lot about the story itself because I dnf-ed before it got really started, that’s why I won’t rate it.
The only thing I regret not seeing is the picture Molly drew of that ”octopus with dicks instead of tentacles. Only seven of them. I draw a Jacob’s ladder piercing on each appendage and then have one of the dicks holding up a sign that says, “thank you for the squid pro quo.”

This one got pretty cringe with Sevens made up cuss words “how one man can be so fridging cute is beyond me”
& Mollys overall needy behavior. Sevens relationship with Xavier was a bit odd . Idk about that one.

I'm a big Saxon James fan, and I still wasn't prepared for how much I loved this book. In my Budding Attraction (Divorced Men's Club #3) review I had some words to say about Molly, but I take all of them back now because he's just a little sweetie looking for love.
Molly moves across the country to get a fresh start after a series of mistakes and feeling like the odd man out with his dad and best friend (*ahem* DMC # 5). He moves in with the Bertha's Boys, knowing Madden from college. After catching Seven in an unfortunate position, Seven decides to help Molly with his bad dating luck to see if Molly's actually the problem by going a series of "fake" dates. What could possibly go wrong?
Seven is an interesting character. He had a pretty traumatic past that's not discussed too deeply, but through it he has an unhealthy, and completely platonic, attachment with Xander, who also didn't have a great upbringing. They're pretty much a package deal, and that's why Molly is basically perfect for him. Molly becomes fast friends with Xander because they're so similar. Seven finds it hard to let people in because he doesn't want happiness taken away from him, and all Molly wants to do is love someone and be loved.
I really enjoyed watching their relationship unfold. It wasn't super angsty, but I was still really invested. Molly is a little over top in his need for attention and love, and honestly it's kind of relatable. He's always his authentic self even if it's a bit of a mess. Seven, begrudgingly, likes all these little quirks of Molly. He becomes protective over him, like he is with Xander, and doesn't want him to change for anyone. They have the cutest dates and I loved how Xander shipped them and pushed them together.
I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series. Rush's book is next and I can already tell there's one (soon to be) ex-boyfriend who we are all gonna hate. Also Xander and Derek?? That better be a thing. I've loved both books in this series so far, and hope the rest are just as good.

I'm a big Saxon James fan, and I still wasn't prepared for how much I loved this book. In my Budding Attraction (Divorced Men's Club #3) review I had some words to say about Molly, but I take all of them back now because he's just a little sweetie looking for love.
Molly moves across the country to get a fresh start after a series of mistakes and feeling like the odd man out with his dad and best friend (*ahem* DMC # 5). He moves in with the Bertha's Boys, knowing Madden from college. After catching Seven in an unfortunate position, Seven decides to help Molly with his bad dating luck to see if Molly's actually the problem by going a series of "fake" dates. What could possibly go wrong?

I think I am moving out of my Saxon James phase because this book is giving mid to me personally.
The relationship that builds between Seven and Molly is sweet with a lot of back and forth due to Seven being scared he was going to get hurt and Molly just wanting to love him. These two had a good build-up being together and they had some great moments. I liked them both as characters, I did not love either of them I will say. I felt like Molly as a character was all over the place, I was not really sure how I could qualify him as though his good traits really showed through.
I think the premise of "Let's Practice Dating" was, to be quite frank, and honest, a bit ridiculous and a waste of time. I do not think it was a fully developed concept. It would have made more sense for them to just be roommates who accidentally fall in love because that is basically what happened. The story seemed a bit all over the place and I was just getting bored of the back and forth.
The family dynamic in this book I loved. I really enjoyed all the side characters because they really bring the house to life. Xander, bless his heart, you just want to give a big hug to him through the whole book and he was just a very encouraging loving person. I cannot wait for his story. The house sounds just lively and fun and something you want to be apart of.
Overall, it was an okay book. I liked it, did not love it nor did I hate it. I was ready to move on to another book like at the 60% mark.

Ahhh! Ok maybe this book just caught me on a really good day because I LOVED this. I have been highly anticipating Molly's book since we first meet him in Ford & Orson's book and this did not disappoint.
Molly has a history of striking out on dates, he never seems to be enough for people and he feels like he always puts more effort into dating than those he is going on the dates with. To try to combat this Molly tries to go for older men because he thinks they are more mature. Molly struggles a lot with feeling left out. With his dad and best friend, Will, he feels like his dad wish Will was his son instead. In college, he went to school with Will where Will made the friends and Molly just followed along. Molly ends up moving to Seattle after one humiliating moment back home (Ford and Orson's book) and moves into a house filled with quirky roommates, one of which -Madden- he knew back in college but insists that he was more of Will's friend than his own. I saw a lot of myself in Molly and maybe that's why this book did it for me. Molly feels like an outsider in almost every aspect of his life, and he doesn't feel like he really belongs anywhere.
Enter one of Molly's new roommates: Seven. Seven is big, tattooed, sort of intimidating, but is really just a big softie. After hearing about Molly's dating woes he so kindly suggests that perhaps Molly is the problem. Seven agrees to go on dates with Molly so he can tell Molly at what points he comes across to clingy and may be scaring men away. Obviously, this is a totally solid plan based on research alone and there's no way any feelings will be developed on either end. ;)
As the two go on dates they grow closer. Seven never dates because he has a bit of a codependent relationship with his foster brother Xander who also lives in the house. Xander suffers from medical anxiety and Seven often drops everything to take care of Xander. Seven has never found a partner who understood/accepted that relationship so he doesn't bother to go beyond casual hookups. Until Molly. Molly not only accepts what Xander means to Seven but cares for him just as much. Xander and Molly's friendship is so pure and both have Seven wrapped around their fingers, though for very different reasons.
"Stop looking at me like that."
I sigh. "Am I being cute again?"
"The cutest. You need to learn how to turn that off."
"Why would I do that when I get to use it against you?"
I loved Molly and Seven's dynamic. I loved how Seven really saw Molly and made him a priority. I loved how through Seven Molly learned that his type isn't older men, it's honest men. Seven wanted Molly to have the world, and Molly wanted the same for Seven. I loved the third act arc. I loved how Molly knew what he deserved and didn't wait around for Seven to start being honest with himself about his own feelings. I loved how supportive Xander was, which I feel like was very important for Seven to know. Molly and Seven's intimate moments were perfect - I loved the trust they had for each other, and I really, really just enjoyed this book a lot.
Molly's made it through this long without me, but that doesn't change the fact that I want to protect him. And...even thought I'll never, ever say the words out loud, maybe there's even a small part of me that wants him to protect me right back.
He cups my face as he kisses me, and it's in that moment I know I've lost. It's in the way I grip him back, the way his body feels like it's supposed to be pressed against mine. I've never had this all-encompassing need before, and I'm terrifyingly obsessed with the way it makes me feel.
There were a few things that I didn't entirely love which is why this is 4 stars but for some reason with this particular book I was able to overlook them and they didn't take away from how much I enjoyed this story.

Absolutely loved it!
I could not put this book down, it had me absolutely hooked from the beginning.
I really enjoyed reading about Seven and Molly friendship, how they truly cared for each other. Getting to watch them grow together was beautiful. Seven has such a beautiful soul, he cares so deeply. Molly just wants be loved.
I also really enjoyed the interactions between the side characters. Learning more about Xander and Madden, and getting to see more of all the other members of the Big Bertha house. Elle was also amazing.
Overall, great book! Absolutely recommend and cannot wait to read more. I’m so excited to read about Keller and Will.

I'm finding this to be a very enjoyable series!! I absolutely love these guys! Even though some of the stories follow predictable patterns, they still keep me invested. FYI, I'm not 100% positive that my enjoyment wasn't influenced by the audio, at least a little.
Molly Gibson (24-ish, artist, kind of desperate) has joined the Big-Boned Bertha household after Christian moved out. He's struggling to fit in and he's also struggling to develop healthy dating habits. He lucks out when his new roommate offers to help.
Seven (25-ish, tattoo artist) is absolutely attracted to his new roommate, but the house has a strict "no fucking" policy! That's not the only obstacle standing in his way. Anyone who he was to get serious about would have to accept the fact he comes with a plus one in the form of his BFF, Xander. When Seven offers to help Molly identify his bad dating qualities, he doesn't expect to find a partner who accepts both him and Xander so wholly.
Clinginess, trauma identification, ball shaving, mosquito bites, Sevipus, adorableness, dating, unwanted feelings, sad break, Aunt Agatha wisdom, reconciliation, and an HEA.
SEX: Bro... incredibly hot! They get intimate for the first time at 48%, and their first time is at 65% with a condom. Boo!! You know I hate slow burns, but the story preceding the sex kept me interested. I love these two. FYI, there is no sharing. Seven's relationship with Xander is strictly platonic.
STORY: Honestly, the story had laughs, cries, growth, love, adorableness, hot sex, and is just a well-rounded fic.
MMCs: I'm not sure it's appropriate for me to put this in here, but I'm doing it anyway. I also acknowledge that I'm probably not using the best terminology, but this is probably expected when a straight woman reads MM fics. Seven presents as a more traditional guy, while Molly presents very feminine in both personality and physical appearance. I'm not usually into Molly's type, so this is where I think the audio influenced me a little.
