It was another new start, only this time not in a city where anonymity was possible, but rather in a brand-new town carved out of the wilderness of northern Minnesota where Meredith was to learn that people not only helped one another but cared about one another too.

And it was a good thing because ever since her father sent her off on her own to start a new job Meredith had been plagued with the feeling that she was being followed. When things are stolen from her apartment, her fears are realized. But going to the police is not an option, not when there is evidence that her father could be a murderer.
