It was just a day's work for Texas Ranger Egan Caldwell. Except this time, the victim of the crime was rich, beautiful heiress Caroline Stallings. Egan and Caroline couldn't be more different-she was upper crust, he was a lawman. Yet this woman stirred feelings in him that refused to be ignored. Problem was, Caroline's memory had gone the way of Egan's willpower and her amnesia had attracted a killer. Ensuring her safety was something he took very seriously. But giving in to their distracting, combustible attraction was the only chance Egan had of uncovering the secrets hidden in Caroline's mind…before someone else did.
Want to know more about me? Well, here it is in a nutshell:
I’m a USA Today bestselling author, and I’ve sold over 100 novels. Yes, 100! Needless to say, I write a lot. I’ve had the honor of receiving the Booksellers' Best Award for romantic suspense, the Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award, and I was a finalist for the Rita. My books have been featured in Vogue, Woman’s Day and Woman’s World. I’ve also had nearly a hundred short stories and articles published in national magazines. I love hearing from readers, and you can contact me through my webpage at: www.deloresfossen.com.
I got 2 chapters in and I’m not a fan. My kids have moved the bookmark so many times and I find I just don’t care. I also do not have the urge to pick it up and find out what happened. Caroline’s “Mercy” a few times annoyed me too. DNFing earlier than normal, but it’s been months hanging on the 2nd chapter on my TBR since January.
This book stands alone, but goes along with Beneath the badge. It was nice fast paced book.
In Questioning the heiress, Caroline’s life was being threatened. Texas Ranger Egan put her in his protective custody. Together they were shot at, and escaped the blast of bombs. I love the fast pace action of this book. I also loved the romance between Egan, and Caroline. It was really nice to see Caroline stand up to her parents. I loved this book!
I really enjoyed Delores Fosses's "Questioning the Heiress", I like this series so much that I made sure that "Beneath the Badge" is ordered and on it's way!
