Ari is just a regular avatar from Blockville who loves hanging out with his two best friends—Zeke, an obby and parkour pro, and Jez, the ultimate hacker and Queen of Tech. After Zeke’s new egg hatches into a cool and rare sloth, Ari is determined to get a rare dream pet of his own. But when Ari’s super-cool egg hatches into an even cooler baby dragon, no-one is prepared for what happens next. Can Ari and his friends stop the chaos before Blockville goes up in flames? An Unofficial Roblox Book.
I find this specific kind of book pretty fun to read. As the title and back cover suggest, it's basically about Ari accidentally getting a dragon egg in Adopt Me, that tries to kill the school bully, Trip, in order to 'protect' Ari.

This book series is a hit with my 3rd grader. The vocabulary is on point with that age group too. Words like obby, bruh, and noob are all part of the prose. 😁 Despite that, or maybe, just in addition to that, the story is actually decent. It’s definitely not a literary wonder, but it is timely and had a good moral backbone.
So, I took a couple days to read book 2 of this series, and as a fan of pets myself, I definitely can say this was a good read. Ari takes care of his dog Coda for a bit in order to get a rare pet egg, after Zeke got a pet sloth (apparently, sloths are rare pets in this world. I mean, I've never met someone with a pet sloth in the real world, so I guess it's kind of the same lol). As you'd expect from the title, the egg hatches a dragon, and like in most fiction, a dragon isn't exactly an easy pet to take care of. Ember (the dragon) causes his fair share of destruction, and grows unusually quickly. After Ember almost kills Trip for playing a game against Ember at an event where the kids get out of school to play sports and eat delicious stuff, Ari understands he's unable to keep Ember, and gives him up to a Dragon Sanctuary. He realizes at the end that Coda was the pet he'd wanted all along, and he takes Coda for a walk to visit Ember. This was a fun one. Admittedly, I wasn't happy that it took the promise of a new pet to get Ari to take better care of Coda, and then he went back to ignoring the dog after getting Ember's egg, but I like how the story turned out. And he didn't completely get rid of Ember, as he said they were going to visit him, so that's definitely a happy ending for both pets and Ari. And I really liked the artwork for this book. My favorite one was the one of Ari hugging Ember to say goodbye (as sad as it makes you at that exact moment). I definitely recommend this one to any younger readers

If you don't have this book i will explain best i can and give my honest opinion (spoilers)
In this book the main character Ari avatar wants a new pet so he goes to the pet shop and gets a unique egg that ends up hatching into a DRAGON, then it all turns chaos, what did you expect? MY honest opinion is that this is not the best of the series and could've been a bit better because there isn't much chaos for a dragon and when there is its not that exiting. ˚∆˚
This book was more of a compromise for my little girl is obsessed with this Roblox craze. But I figured since it was a book and not the game stuck in her face on her iPad, I decided to share the story with her as we read together. It was fun.
