This book took me months to get through. It had some good stuff in it so I wanted to finish it. On the other hand it didn't keep me captivated easily.

A few notes that I gained:

When asked how many people she'd carried off the streets of Calcutta, Mother Teresa said she guessed about 30,000. The reporter praised her and she responded with, "I couldn't have done the 30,000th had I not done the first."

The scriptures on yeast and a mustard seed are similies meant to illustrate how little things--the things we're tempted to discount and ignore--can make a difference.

Jesus is the "seed" we sow and we should sow indiscriminately.

"It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching." St Francis of Assisi

Loving the world at large can only be done by loving face-to-face the world that is not so distant.

I may have enjoyed this book more if I had read this book as a member of a group discussing and participating in its suggestions as the authors have made possible in its design. I expected more from it then I felt after having read it because it began running out of momentum about half way through it. The authors, I believe, "practice what they preach" as included it their bios. The book reminded me of "A Purpose Driven Life", similar yet different. Overall, I was disappointed in it.

This is kind of an updated remix of Sjogren's "Conspiracy of Kindness" stuff geared toward individual devotions and small groups. You can also get this as part of the larger Pastor's Kit which includes sermon outlines and multi-media in case you want turn the whole thing into a church wide series. It is structured and themed fairly well and provides tons of good quotes and inspiring stories.

Based on the principles of a fountain this book describes God's neverending source of love and how it should flow into the different areas of your world. Must read for missional minded Christians.
