A great read for short story lovers. At the end of the book, there are critical questions about each story which can be useful if you teach short story at a college.
A refreshing reread. These stories always excite and dazzle with those surprise endings. In the order of my reading: 1. The Heart of Little Shikara By Edison Marshall 5 smashing stars! This may be my favorite of short stories i have ever read. The emotions rooting for Little Shikara, awed by the tigress. I want to be made of the stuff Shikara is made of.
2. Leiningen Versus the Ants -Carl Stephenson 4.75 stars. Phew team Ants here.
3. The Natives are Hostile- Alastair Scobie 4 stars. Wished for another ending 😢
4. A Terribly Strange Bed- Wilkie Collins 4.75 🌟
