Dolores Johnson is a journalist who has worked on newspapers in Oregon, California, Wyoming and Colorado, but she always wanted to write and sell a murder mystery. She tried writing books about an investigative reporter and a newspaper editor, but it wasn't until she wrote a book about a dry cleaner, using her background as a free-lance writer and field reporter for American Drycleaner, that she met with success.
I liked how I could use this book to individual children with busy parents. I also liked how I could read this book aloud to the class. It had a simple concept and was short enough to hold younger students attention.
Super cute book that has diversity in the illustrations of the book. This book is about a little boy who doesn't like babysitters. He wants nothing to do with them, but this babysitter does something very unusual to get the boy interest in his babysitter.
This book is relatable because all of us can remember having babysitters that we weren't sure we would like. This book proves that adults are still able to have fun and people of all ages can have things in common. It brought me back to when my aunts used to babysit me as a child and how much fun i would have listening to their stories and playing board games.
