Los tres cerditos/ The Three Little Pigs gives a great shortened version of the traditional three little pigs. This book would be good for ELL (English Language Learners) children to experience old tales and develop more vocabulary. The illustrations in the book are colorful and the illustrator used watercolor art to create the images.

The book The Three Little Pigs, written by Luise Orihuela is another childhood classic book, the book is an easy read so children can read along with the book. It is also a funny child appropriate book. I overview loved this book, I thought it was such an amazing book that I would read over and over again.

This is a good book to use for children to enhance vocabulary use. Children get to enjoy the fairy tale in a shortened version, Its also a great book to use for bilingual classes. The illustration is attractive for children.

Los Tres Cerditos- The Three Little Pigs- Three little pigs lived a happy, quiet life. They were safe until a wolf showed up. The three little pigs decided to build houses to keep them safe. One built one of straw, another of sticks and another out of bricks. The straw and sticks houses got blown down by the wolf. The other pigs rather to their brother house of bricks for safety. The wolf tried to go down the chimney, but landed in the kettle. This book is an interesting adaptation of Three Little Pigs. The book is written in Spanish and then the direct translation of English right under it. The book was alright, but would work better with a preschool age audience.

I was drawn to this book because I loved this story as a child. It has expressive dialogue, repetition, and rhyming words which makes it a fantastic read aloud book. The repetition also makes it easier for children to follow. This version of the traditional story, is told in both English and Spanish. I would place this book in my library in the classroom for my Hispanic ELL students so that they can read a story in their native language.

With a little practice in my Spanish reading skills, this would be a great book to read aloud to students in a class with both ELLs and native English speakers. The class can take turns identifying cognates or discuss between each other how they can traslate words from English to Spanish with books like these. Also, this book can help ELLs in individual reading tasks. The book may help clarify the English story by supporting them with the Spanish translations.

This is the Spanish version of The Three Little Pigs. It is written in Spanish. I would incorporate this book into my library to assist my Spanish speaking ELL's with books they can read in their native language.

I could use this book to perform for the class a story basket.

I really like the idea of using a book about a classic tale that almost all students know. English students as well as ELL students can both learn new words as you follow the story.
