Story Summary: This Non Fiction books gives children a great fun and easy insight into America's history. It focuses on Independence Day and why we have it and it also has fun facts about those involved as well.
Grade Level: 2nd- 3rd
Classroom Use: To teach about Independence Day and why we have it.
Individual Students: They would know what The 4th of July stood for.
Small Groups: Could discuss the event itself and how it came about while learning songs for a school play or to show their parents.
Whole Class: This would be good for America's history in the back there are many different activities that you can do to help show your kids different meanings and a great way to keep them engaged.

Pretty good book. Used to teach my 3 year old about the 4th of July. Nice pictures, good information about the history and traditions of the 4th. Layout/continuity could have been a little better, but overall serves purpose well.
