Black Ice
After a serious car accident Ronnie awakens to find herself restrained, at the mercy of a stranger calling himself her 'Protector'. Theo, a Destaurian Guard, is part of an Order dedicated to the protection of the Magic Box of Destiny, a time portal once controlled by an ancient family of witches called the Pandoras.
Ronnie is drawn into Theo's world, now a Child of Destiny, central to the Destaurians' plans to thwart mankind's destruction through the release of the perils of the Box into the world. Theo convinces her she must retrieve the Box before the witches' power increases.

Angelika's Black Ice has everything to keep you warm in the most important parts, sexy, daring, I read it in bed and then couldn't get to sleep thinking about it.

What happens when a fallen god and a fallen goddess meet Pandora, who can easily fill the position as Satan's right hand woman?
Sparks fly every time. And not just any sparks, they are magical sparks, full of fire and hate.
When Prometheus and Hope enter their fallen states, they are separated from each other and her spirit is separated from her body. Prometheus takes up the quest to find her and reunite her spirit with her body. Only then can they realize their love for each other.
But Pandora is doing all in her power to keep them apart.
Black Ice gets a 4 star rating from me while Angelika Devlyn gets a 5 star rating. She has done a wonderful job of balancing the elements of a story and providing a fast-paced, unforgettable read.
I've seen once more that when hope abounds, evil also is present.

Hunter’s Review
This book is not for the faint of heart. It is intense—sometimes violent—and hot as hell. I’m not sure I’ve ever read anything like it before. Ms. Devlyn took me on a wild ride and I’m not sure I’m off of it yet.
One second, I squirmed in my seat not believing the bloodshed (especially in the beginning, reader beware!) and the next second I’m reading well done erotica that pulls at the heartstrings.
Add to that a really evil bad woman and you have a really good read. But do proceed with caution. One way or another, this book will make you sweat.

This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down till I had finished. Let's just say don't read this unless you can find a way to satisfy yourself. This book made me very hot!!!!! If u get my drift:-)

In Black Ice, Angelika Devlyn has created a great fantasy-erotic novel which is intense, hot, wild and most definitely unputdownable.

If the gods really existed, how would they regard humanity—with concern for our care and well-being or merely as playthings for their entertainment?
Prometheus and his immortal guardians have a very different explanation for the ways of the worlds…that's right, ours and theirs. Eons ago, Prometheus, tasked with guarding the Goddess of Hope in Destauria, fell in love with his charge. The gods punished both worlds by declaring Hope can only return through a Child of Destiny from Earth, a female, whose body in Destauria will house Hope's soul.
Sound interesting but complicated? It is…but it gets clearer.
Ronnie Weaver is in a car accident. When she awakes, she's tied to a bed, in a room she doesn't recognize, with a man she doesn't know—with no memories of her life. Then Prometheus tells her he's her protector, she's a Child of Destiny, and both her world and his depend upon her accepting her fate.
Wow, that's a lot to handle—and Prometheus uses every method of instruction he knows to bend Ronnie's will to his own: sensuous, titillating, humiliating and degrading. Come on, two worlds are at stake here.
The complexity of this world is fascinating with its layering of new interpretations of myths and gods and their interactions with our world. Unfortunately, the active story beginning, then narrative back story and finally present day action made the story a bit difficult to initially follow. A lot of information comes hard and fast…in a historical and erotic sense—with some eye-opening techniques!
Ronnie's strong sense of survival shows her character strength. I loved the fact Ronnie's boyfriend Tim does everything he can to find her and save her. Every girl wants that kind of devotion, right? On the flipside, I would have liked more information about the research Ronnie and Tim had done. That wasn't clear enough.
There were also a few inconsistencies…Ronnie had NO memory, so why did she have to be treated as she was in order to accept her new life? That would seem an easy task for an already blank slate. There were also a few erotic indulgences that didn't fit with the threat and urgency of the situation. Though some were great scenes, they didn't gel with the plot movement.
If you like mythology weaved into your erotica, your characters tied in knots (and with other things), and your relationships dominated by a serious alpha male, this is the book for you. I personally am not interested in a domineering hero and submissive heroine, but this book has a lot to offer for those that are.

I love Devlyn's writing style and her fantastic settings. If I have a nit with this it the switching from charater to author POV. Black Ice has everything readers of this genre are looking for and is a book well worth adding to your shelf.
