Amy doesn't know what it feels like to be in love. Which is pretty sad, when you stop to think about it, and Amy stops to think about it - oh, just about every day. Her fantasies are populated by men who look like movie stars and act like heroes from romance books, while her life is full of men who only think about their careers and who wear stress like a medal for bravery.
Or was, until now. Dan is Amy’s scuba diving buddy and the best-looking bloke in the office. Zorro, their Tahitian diving instructor is every woman’s secret fantasy, the kind you blush about in the darkness of your bedroom and never ever discuss with your girlfriends.
Amy doesn't know what it feels like to be in love. Will she choose the right man?

Fast Track To A Honeybun is a fabulous romantic suspense by Sam Cheever. Ms. Cheever has given readers a well-written story and a fast track to humor and suspense. Race car driver Warwicke Honeybun gets entangled in a murder investigation when he stops another driver from beating a woman driver. Fabiana and Warwicke's story is loaded with drama, sizzle, action, suspense and laugh out loud humor. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Sam Cheever in the future. Fast Track To A Honeybun is book 3 in the Honeybun Heat Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
A fast paced story with the smell of burning rubber
Warwick and Fabiana...two professional race car drivers caught in the sights of a madman. They go undercover into the world of street racing to uncover the truths about the things that had happened to them. In addition to worrying about herself, Fabiana has to worry about her younger brother.
But because of her relation to Warwicke, she has now been swept into the boisterous clan of the Honeybuns. Not only do they keep her laughing, they also keep her safe. A nice mystery, well-plotted, memorable characters, and fun to read.
I have to say that I love to read these books. But the bad guys are too unbelievable too take serious. Our heroïne will take any dumb decision she can to prove her independence. To the rescue for the brothers. When you want to make it exciting, make it believable. F.i. A very mediocre criminal does not get away when apprehended. Brother Alvaro makes 1 one dumb decision after another, and then suddenly manages to have a brain. Many examples more.
That said, I enjoyed. Therefore 3*.
I won’t read the next one though. Ghosts, seriously. Does not fit at all in this series.

Love the Honeybun clan. Warwick "Wick" as his brothers call him, is a race car driver and stumbles upon a situation between two other race car drivers. Which Warwick, has a secret crush on. Him trying to defend her, her stubbornness of his male chivalry.Causes for some interesting altercation. Once a Honeybun set their eyes on a lady that steals their heart, they will move mountains to help them.
Great storyline with 8 upstanding young men and a great guiding set of parents who impressed that family is everything. This fast paced story of racing, murder and love is filled with twists, turns and intrigue. Had me guessing the whole book long...and I was wrong! Great book!
Ok, got me on this one. Won't start how because i am not a spoiler, but didn't see it coming. Was a little slow to start for me, but rallied very quickly to take over my attention and reading time.

Sexy Indy car racer Warwicke Honeybun isn’t looking for love. But when he stumbles upon a beautiful woman being abused by a fellow driver one night, he wastes no time delivering a painful message to the man abusing her. Unfortunately, the man turns up dead the next day and the woman shows up on Warwicke’s doorstep covered in blood. Warwicke’s life gets eminently more complicated as he fights to protect her while working to clear her name; knowing all the while that she’s one of his fiercest competitors on the track.
Fabiana Maricruz hasn’t had time for men since she started competing in the male oriented sport of open wheel racing. She’s worked hard to overcome her rough beginnings as a Cuban-American living on the streets of the barrio. But now, somebody wants her to walk away from the sport she loves, and apparently they’ll do anything at all to make sure she does. Fortunately for her she has the Honeybuns on her side!
I cannot say how much I loved this book! The Honeybun men have a reserved spot in my heart. After reading the last adventure I never thought Sam Cheever could outdo it but she definitely has. This was a fast and fun, thrilling, adventurous read. The story has everything you could want all in one place, adventure and romance, comedy and seriousness, thugs and gentlemen, fast cars and sexy racers. This was realistic and romantic while still keeping you on the edge of your seat from the mystery and fanning yourself from the sexual chemistry. Fabiana is a complex heroine who ends up in over her head by trying to take care of things all by herself. Warwicke is near perfect, just like all the Honeybun brothers, each in their own way. I've never been a fan of red-headed men but this hottie and his clan have me changing my mind. The couple are so wonderfully suited as their similarities and differences balance so nicely. This quick and quirky story is full of interesting secondary characters and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the brothers get themselves up to. I loved the tone, as the author has a wonderfully wry sense of humor and uses it in a fresh and fun way. If you're looking for a swift and sweet escapade this one's for you.
I picked up Fast Track to a Honeybun by Sam Cheevers expecting a light romance in a race car setting, and that’s exactly what the book delivered. I prefer more meat and potatoes in my literary diet, however, so this book proved too light for me.
The romantic tension is there, arising from “Fabulous” Fabiana’s and golden-boy Warwicke’s disparate backgrounds. In the normal course of life, they would never meet. But their shared passion for racing brings them into the same high-powered world, which gives their passion for each other a chance to ignite—at the same time placing them in direct opposition. Only one person can win a race.
Although told alternately through their viewpoints, the book is Warwicke’s story, for he is a Honeybun, and this is number 3 of the Honeybun Hunks series. Scenes involving the Honeybun clan are the best in the book, with snappy banter, colorful characters, and clever ploys to outwit and outmuscle the bad guys. Those ploys stretch believability to the breaking point in places, especially when it comes to setting.
Bad luck for the author to draw a reviewer with a strong racing background, for whom every error and omission jumped out and screamed. The setting could have given the book depth and breadth, educated readers, and pumped up excitement; instead, it was a two-dimensional backdrop that undeveloped characters skimmed across to a somewhat surprising ending. The publisher didn’t help by allowing too many typos to get through; which, combined with credibility issues, leaves the impression of a book that got published before it was ready.
Nevertheless, Fast Track to a Honeybun makes a good beach read, or down-on-the-couch-with-the-flu read, and would translate well to television. The camera would provide the sensory details the book lacks, while the romantic adventure would entertain. I would try another book in the series to see if this one’s issues repeat or if they were only a factor of the setting. Because of those issues, I reluctantly give this one 1.5 Divas.
So, I know I’m probably in the minority here but I really have almost no interest in Indy Car Racing. I was a little bit worried when I picked up the next installment in the Honeybun series that I was going to be bored out of my mind.
I wasn’t.
Why? In two words: Warwicke Honeybun. He is such a hot hero that he made me want to turn each page faster to see what he would do next. He falls for Fabiana, fast and doesn’t let go.
She is a tough character, having been through a lot she’s not an easy person to get behind her defenses but Sam Cheever does a wonderful job of making her very accessable to the reader and I was impressed.
While I will never be a fan of Indy Car Racing, I am certainly a fan of Sam Cheever and this book. Its been really nice to read this series, in order, from start to finish because what it has allowed me to do is to really get to know this whole family. The Honeybuns are wonderful men filled with passionate souls, devoted hearts, and old-fashioned rarely used names.
I love these books and I recommend this latest installment highly.
Fabiana Maricruz is probably my favorite of all the Honeybun's "honeys". She's got the Latina temper and a fierce independent streak. All that is on her mind is making her name known in a male oriented sport.
Warwicke Honeybun has been raised by his momma to be a gentleman. So when he see's a woman being hit by another race car driver he can't just walk by. However, the next morning the man is dead and the woman he saved is on his doorstep covered in blood. WHAT THE HECK?!?
As these two try to figure out what happened the previous night, they can't deny the attraction they feel for each other. Warwicke is seeing under the frosty exterior of Fabiana, while Fabiana is discovering it may not be so bad to having a crazy family, like the Honeybun's, at your back.
Me. Cheever has taken the winning flag with this action packed romance. We meet Warwicke Honeybun, an Indy race car driver, and Fabiana. This story has Warwicke and Fabby on a journey of fast cars and the people who drive them. Warwicke has to show his skills on the streets when cars try to run them off the road. Sometimes they get away and sometimes they don't. There are a lot of turns in this action packed adventure of Warwicke and Fabriana and a lot of passion igniting the heart of one Warwicke Honeybun. I received this book for an honest review.
Warwicke and Fabby are great together. Untangling the mystery of who is trying to sabotage Fabby's racing career brings them closer together. Once again the honeybun clan steps in to aide a brother and his honey. Full of action and passion. With a side of mystery. The dynamics between the brothers continues to intrigue me. I love the different layers to the stories. Mystery, action, passion, loyalty, and humor. The honeybun series has it all!
I liked this book, but it did seem to be missing.....something. I'm just not sure what. I fully enjoyed it, though. The hot Honeybuns save the day again!!
