This mostly photographic history of Charleston is beautiful. It's so amazing to see how little the city has actually changed. They have provided photos from the 1890s and 1990s (some have pics from the 1970s as well). Certainly there are lovely buildings we have lost to time and natural disaster, but so very much more is still here - and looking better than ever! Charleston has done an amazing job with their preservation efforts. It's one of the reasons I love Charleston so much - it's like you have stepped back into the 1800s and you can FEEL the history living and breathing around you.
