"Jack…stop," the words were difficult to say but she meant them. She did but her eyes still relaxed into his work. "Stop," she pled, trying to convince herself but lying with her one hand, pushing his head deeper and deeper, her other still squeezing the trigger of the revolver. The hammer stretched back. So intent on control but letting go all the same. Jack pressed feverishly, it wouldn't be long. The hammer reached its climax just as she did. Jack's fine with scavenging illegal bottles of booze, he's okay with living in the Yard among horrifying insects and he'll tolerate his only friend strung out on black jacket, but his bounty just reached the triples and now every Townie in the Yard is out to take his head. With his back against the wall he strikes a deal with a woman known only as the Queen, he'll find that bottle of the old and return Scarlet-her missing sex slave- on the condition the bounty is absolved. There is one problem, Jack knows the Queen won't let him live; he knows that she will end his life as soon as that vintage tequila rests in her fingers. Lucky for Jack, he also knows the Queen cares much more for Scarlet than she lets on. He keeps the girl as insurance until he can figure out his next move, but strange things start happening and Jack begins to realize that this magnetic sex slave has a shadow deeper and darker than he could ever imagine.
