this is a layman's guide to stock market using technical analysis. It is useful to anyone trying to keep on top of their brokeridge account or 401k which includes ability to trade in individual stocks. The author, Martin pring is a Technical Analysis expert and it shows in discussions on momentum (w.r.t. stock price prediction using current versus prior prices) and volume (somewhat event-driven along with enthusiasm or lack thereof). The book contents should be made into a mandatory course in school in this reader's opinion because it is dealing with a subject near and dear to all working adults finanncial health.
Not an easy read since many charts and requires artihmetic reasoning but it is worth the effort just to understand stock market terminology, trends and indicators.
Basic introduction to many trading concepts and overview this will give a new trader idea about various concepts including chart patterns candlesticks and basic technical analysis however I feel this alone can't be used for trading in market more in-depth knowledge is required on topics given here
Really interesting about fundamentals of technical analysis. The charts really help with understanding the different ways of reading the different charts that traders / investors can utilise when assessing whether to take / sell positions.
I think a second read after my initial first will help me to understand the basics better.
Further study of technical analysis is required for more depth of knowledge.
Not dull at all like regular theoretical books in statistics or finance. The connection to practise and the examples put everything in a context which eases the learning process. The CD-guide is great as well.
I was assigned this book for a class I'm taking. It muddied the waters a bit from what I've already learned but did contain some good info. I'll probably come back for a skim through later on.
