At this point there are so many different characters, concepts, theories, mysteries and factions that I am becoming very confused. I'm also very confused as to why we had to flash over to Yukimura during the fight between Sasuke and Makora (I've forgotten what Sasuky calls him, just too many names). Like I get there's a connection between Sasuke and Yukimura, but that bit added nothing to anything.

I forgot how little the relationship between Yukimura and Sasuke is truly fleshed out. Bizarre, considering the cult following it has.

Holy frackamole! Sasuke is BOSS!
description

Although I very much enjoyed seeing Akari prove she's the HBIC with her true Devil Eye, Sasuke absolutely owned Samurai Deeper Kyo, Volume 24. During his battle with the real Indara Indara (boy, is she annoying annoying with the way she speaks), he discovers the mystery behind the fateful day that changed his friendship with Kotaro forever. The aftermath after Sasuke's battle with Indara is heartbreaking. The resounding theme in this volume is friendship, and it really made me want to run out and hug my best friend. I would dedicate this book to her. Yes, I'm a cheese-ball.

What really fascinates me about Sasuke's fight with Indara was seeing his awakening. I am ever so curious about his crimson eyes and how it may relate to Kyo. Is Sasuke the true heir to the Crimson King title or does this reveal Kyo's birth as a rare breed of the forest dwellers? Hrmm...

After Akari turns Mekira to dust, they encounter a stranger lurking in the midst. In a surprising twist, Yuya discovers the truth about her brother, Nozomu. I am looking forward to learning more about his disappearance, but I hope it's not too heartbreaking for Yuya. Ever since Yuya's life was threatened by the Waterwyrms, she has become quite likable. The girl has been through enough and has always kept her spirits up like the true trooper she is. When she grabs Akari's hand and tells her "I love you," I just wanted to hug the crap out of her. This volume had me all up in an emotional tizzy. Damn hormones.

Thank the gods for Hotaru and his adorable naïveté for keeping things light and always providing a good laugh even in the darkest of moments. When the three stooges are lost, I laughed so hard when Hotaru finds the way by asking directions from Kubira, one of the Twelve God Shogun. Sigh. To be blissfully ignorant . . . I ♡ Hotaru.

The cliffhanger ending with Kubira's eerie mind trickery gives me chills. I can't wait to read the next volume. I thought it was hilarious how the people the guys are most afraid of are the ladies, Akari and Yuya. This series just really hits the spot for me. They are full of amazing battles, exciting mysteries, and silly humor. My new favorite thing are the doodles on the table of contents page. Funny stuff.

Today’s post is on Samurai Deeper Kyo volume 24 by Akimine Kamijyo. It is published by Tokyopop. As it is the 24th in the series you need to have read the first 23 to get the story. The cover has Sasuke and Yukimura on it looking cool. There is some language, no sex, and lots of violence in this series and volume. The story is told from third person god point of view with character thoughts added in for character and plot development. The intended reader is someone who loves samurai manga, strange love stories, and cool guys with red eyes. Older teens and adults only for the best. There Be Spoilers Ahead.

From the back of the book- Akari battles Mekira, a wielder of an ancient Mibu weapon that can turn enemies to stone. Enraged by Mekira’s treatment of Santera, Akari reveals a secret of his own! Meanwhile, Sasuke and Izumo travel to the peak of Mt. Fuji, where Kotaro stands in their way- and Kotaro and Sasuke begin a battle that may shatter their friendship forever.

Review- This is a fun volume with Sasuke taking the limelight. He takes the stage and he shines. We get some great fights, plot development, and some more questions about what the Mibu are trying to do. Sasuke is a ‘rare breed’ and now people want to eat him. He does not get eaten but he does give us some new moves and he reveals his own demon eyes. The new questions about the Mibu are about what they were trying to do when they created Sasuke. When he gets really mad in his fight he ‘awakens’ to his demon eyes and aura. Very badass but again we do not really learn anything about the big evil plot. When it comes to this manga I have too much tolerance and love that I do not care that Kamijyo just keeps giving me beautiful red eyes and new questions but little resolutions. But one plot thread that she finishes this volume is what really happened between Sasuke and Kotaro. So I guess that I can be happy with that and continue to love my series.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Komik yang keren...
Alur ceritanya memang campuran namun tidak membuat pembaca bingung. Bagi para penggila komik Jepang gak bakalan rugi ngebacanya, r mengkoleksinya.
ada 37 seri yang semakin seru kalo dibaca.

The story is a bit dull when it starts off with Yuya and Kyoshiro. But as you progress, the plot thickens and newly cast members introduced piece by piece make this manga unique and a bit of a masterpiece. There are two main story lines: 1- Yuya is looking for the man that killed her brother and 2- Kyo is searching for his true body to exact his revenge. Every other plot in between just adds fuel to the story and lets you learn of the diverse background of many characters, friends or foes. The story itself was captivating and it is a shame that many people know of this series.

The art style refined over time, giving the battle scenes flaws execution. The each character had their own torments and demons to deal with but I would have to say that certain individuals needed more evolution or better backstory. The end was well received and left no stone unturned.

I have watched the anime adaptation and I don't recommend it. It doesn't do it justice.

Do I recommend:
