Self Coaching: The Art, Science and Psychology of Asking Deep Thinking Questions
The journey toward Conversational Coaching mastery is one of the most rewarding trips most of us will ever get to go on. For anyone who has ever taken up coaching as a passion, the payoff is we get to help people and we get to do it for a living. It doesn’t get better than that.
And for those of you here — my coaching clients and students — who have taken a deep dive with me into the nitty-gritty of what Conversational Coaching is all about, you know one thing pretty solidly at this that the key to being an effective coach is to be there for yourself first, and then for the people you serve. Because all lasting change begins on the inside and works its way out.
This is hardly a “default state” for most of us. It requires a deep well of self-discipline, self-honesty, and self-love to draw upon. And this attention that we pay to ourselves is an indispensable 21st Century Skill — the skill of “Self Coaching.”
What I want for you is that you use this book and embrace it as a tool that helps you navigate your professional and personal lives in a sustainable and amazing way. After all, we’re here to resolve our issues — an unresolved issue is anything that disturbs our peace.
What I want for you is that you integrate what you learn that the benefits of Conversational Coaching are evident everywhere, and become an ingrained part of your lives. That you leave here with the fervent want to always be teaching yourself, to always grow, and most of all, to always ask questions.
All of life is for learning.
