Tablet to Table Vol 1 Issue 7
Welcome to Volume 1 Issue 7 of Tablet to Table.
For this particular issue, we went out to Shadowfax Winery (www.shadowfax.com.au) – just a short 30-minute drive from Melbourne, Australia – to create our monthly preview video. Here, we took a look at one of the essentials of the dining wine.
Taking us through the grapevines is our feature writer, Max Allen, who details the fortunes and failures of Australian wines in England across the past 100 years or so. While Darcy Curnow, sommelier at Maha Bar and Grill (www.mahabg.com.au) in Melbourne, takes the ‘Kitchen Cork-Off’ – his expertise in wine and creating a wine list goes on show.
When it comes to imbibing, modern dining tables accommodate much more than just wine. So it’s off to Mountain Goat Brewery where John Cope-Williams (www.betterbeerimports.com) talks about Australia’s other beverage of beer. Assistant Editor Melanie Drummond supports his comments with a well-rounded article on the development of an Australian beer drinking culture.
