"Zero kisses for me" is a declaration of independence from a youngster who has a family of fond, affectionate relatives. Sometimes kisses are sticky or perfume-y or just plain yucky, and, besides, they're for babies. They're not dignified for someone who's growing up.
Our small hero decides that the kissing ban goes for goodnight kisses too. That is, of course, until it's bedtime and the monsters appear. And everyone knows that the best defense against the monsters is a goodnight kiss from Mom. The ban's over, and he and his understanding mother come to the conclusion that nobody gets too old for kisses after all. As reassuring as a goodnight kiss, this tender book is sure to become a favorite at bedtime or anytime.
In this book, the child (not ever identified as boy or girl) decides that they no longer want to receive goodnight kisses, or any kisses for that matter.
The child feels that they are over kissed. He or she explains that they get kisses for everything under the sun. So, at bedtime, the mother kisses the stuffed bunny. However, before long, the child realizes that they do infact want their kisses because without them, they are scared.
A neat little bedtime book that may get pegged as a book for girls since it is pink, but is really a great book in general!
I thought this was a really sweet book. Okay, they have a valentine's day section in the kid's department @ Barnes & Noble so I couldn't resist reading it. Sometimes you think you are to big for mommy's kisses, but no matter how big you get you can always use one. This book had one of my favorite words in it: squinch.
Love! What a sweet book! Mama's little one doesn't want kisses anymore--no more mush, no more being everyone's "tootsy-wootsy," no more bluch. But when mama's little one has a hard time sleeping and a bad dream, mama's kisses are the best medicine.
What mama doesn't smother their kid in kisses? Well, this little boy has had enough and refuses to let anyone kiss him ever again! But sometimes it's nice to get kisses.
Super sweet story about a boy who doesn't want kisses because even when she's not kissing him, mom is sending her love in other ways. Would be great for a Valentine's or Mother's Day story.
Tired of so many kisses, little bear declares NO MORE!!! (Until bedtime and he can't sleep). I love this book as an obsessively kissy mommy myself. It's not my fault he's so darn cute!
