A good quick read. I felt like there were some errors in the story. (Like he was standing but then in the next paragraph stood up kind of errors) but it wasn't enough to pull me out completely. Adam's reason for being upset with his parents felt hyped up more than necessary. I'm still not sure I understand Grace's issues from her past.
This was fairly interesting. You've got wealthy school investor Adam Bowen who has worked with schoomistress Grace Stephens for years, but never noticed her. When he's in her office one day, he comes across an erotic story featuring him and Grace together. Now he can't get the images out of his head and he can't keep away from her. But she's shy and wary of any attention, but also excited that her fantasies are coming true. But both Adam and Grace are good at avoiding any strong emotion that might hurt them, and love is enough have Adam ready to run and Grace ready to hide.
So this is the fourth book I've read by this author and the short, abrupt ending seems to be her style. I can't say I'm a fan, as I usually like a more drawn out ending with plenty of explanations, apologies and wallowing in the characters newly discovered love for each other. Grace was by no means my favorite character, what with how skittish she seemed to be around Adam, and Adam wasn't perfect either with his claim to never lie (which he promptly disproves through a flexible definition of what constitutes a lie). But I really enjoyed watching the two of these characters fall in love. And with their chemistry and the time they spend together, it really feels like, which is where the author excelled in this story. Adam became a near perfect boyfriend with Grace and I absolutely enjoyed reading about them.
