Didn't care too much with the plot/case of this. Wasn't bad just meh I feel. I do however really enjoy the Colm parts, and Amber trying to figure out how she feels about Simon.
The build up for Colm is good, just hoping it lives up to it.
Amber is shocked to discover that Joseph has been beaten up and her notebook with her thoughts (personal and covering puzzles) has been left by him. While he is at the hospital she has to work on a case that involves an impossible-to-solve puzzle. She is also intrigued by her personal feelings towards her partner, Simon. In order to get to the culprit she places herself in great danger and the end of the story is a small sample of what is to come. Entertaining!
A little disappointed with this read. Didn't like how she happened to guess which puzzle the bad guy was using just before they found the note with the puzzle on it. Seemed a bit far fetched. I easily guessed the bad guy in this one too. Hoping the next book in the series is better.

I am loving this series in following Amber Young becoming her own in the FBI world. Blake Pierce has done it once again in capturing and maintaining the readers wanting to know what is next. I am looking forward to book #6.
I read that there will be a total of seven books in the series. I hope Joseph exists stage left soon. Not all books need to have romance and this feels too forced. I do enjoy the puzzle aspect though.
