Virginia Wright’s book “Buzzzzzzzz…What Honeybees Do” explains the life of honeybees from hives to their death.
The graphical representations, colorful photographs inside are fantastic. It might help the children or readers to understand more easily. You will get lots of information on honeybees from different aspects, their environments, and their relationship with plants, etc.
“Buzzzzzzzz…What Honeybees Do” is recommended to kids, children or adults who have a keen interest in the language of Honeybees.

This short nonfiction book is targeted for children in the eight to twelve year old bracket, but the book serves as a good basic reference manual for all ages. There are a few editing and formatting issues with the kindle version I downloaded for my KindleHD and the differences in size of font can be distracting, but this book is a great starting point for anyone interested in learning about honeybees. It explores the process of maturation, types of hives, who does the stinging, the kinds of honey, what is pollen and the process of pollination, and the jobs of members of the bee colony. Readers are introduced to the types of plants and flowers that attract honeybees and the reasons why bee colonies are collapsing and disappearing in the United States. Illustrations are helpful though some of them are a bit too small to see detail. All in all, the book belongs on the reference shelves of classroom science libraries and a must read for children who are budding scientists or animal lovers.

If you want to know all about bees, honey, and hives, this is a book you will want to read. It is written for children ags 8-12, but even adults would enjoy reading it. Author, Virginia Wright has included many fascinating facts about bees and their environment. For example, did you know that drones (boy bees) don't have stingers? There are pleny of photographs of the little buzzers too, including one of a bee's tongue. Added bonuses at the end of the book include some lovely photos identifying plants that bees love, and coloring pages for younger readers.

I gave the book to my eight-year-old daughter, who really enjoyed reading it. Buzzz...What Honeybees Do, is a great book for teaching kids all about honey bees.

After children read this, the buzzing sound associated with bees won't seem so scary.

It taught me a lot about honey bees, our great pollinaters. I recommend this book for anyone with a child in their life or just to own.

Honeybees are amazing creatures. These insects provide us with golden sweet food known as honey. By reading this very interesting, easy-to-understand story, you’ll learn the basics about honeybees, as well as where and how they live. Real photographs inside the book get you up close and personal with our greatest pollinator, the honeybee. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

This explanation of the life of bees is geared to the 8 - 10-year-old-crowd, but all ages will find it informative and interesting.  I liked the fact that the author explained the growing concern we have with the collapse of bee colonies and gave her readers helpful suggestions to help save bees:
1) don't automatically spray to eradicate bees, call a beekeeper (or county extension agent) to safely remove them.
2) plant varieties of flowers and trees listed to increase sources for bees to eat.
3) choose varieties that offer a continuous display of flowers for bees.

I do have a couple of suggestions.  The formatting for Kindle is not very good (sentences start and end in odd ways). Also. the headlines (section headings) should be emphasized to aid the reader in finding the section they are interested in reading.  It was also odd how the fonts changed willy-nilly.

Overall, I learned a great deal about bees and how we can help them.
