Dare to Be a Man: The Truth Every Man Must Know...and Every Woman Needs to Know About Him

Rate this book
The inspiring pastor, media personality, and author offers spiritual empowerment to men and the women who love them.

Bishop David Evans, pastor of the more than 27,000-member Bethany Baptist Church, poses the question: What does it mean to be a real man? A true man is one who dares to live up to God's design-a man of confidence, purpose, strength, destiny, consistency, sensitivity, accountability, and loyalty, who is spiritual and loving and embraces responsibility. Only when a man becomes this true self can he make himself ready for the woman who loves him and the family who needs him. Women need to learn to identify a man who lives up to God's design and to foster the spiritual growth of their men. With its inspiring and empowering message, Dare to Be a Man is essential reading for all men and the women who love them.

Dare to Grow in Faith

Dare to be a Man is an excellent 5 star book that speaks to both men and women giving them an understanding of their role as it builds them up as an individual walking with the Lord and giving one conformation in some area already being charged.

Wow, I loved this book. This was not for a review or contest win, but saw it in the library on the shelf near check-out. At first, I was going to walk past the book since it was catered to men, but I was wrong! It allows women to see the man God wants them to be. I will have to buy my copy and bless my future husband with this reading too and discuss it together. Loved it. I highlighted many areas: Dare to have a Vision; spoke on "destiny"; "dreams and visions"; and other great topics that our men need to see and understand such as vulnerability is not a weakness. Additionally, he had the best description on "submission" from a biblical and personal perspective.

This was an incredible reading. At first it was hard for me to grasp because of the writing style. This book IS DIRECTED to men so it was written in more of but and dry style how men like it. However as I persisted I have began to learn of what it means to be man but also from sections that are directed for women only. It describes of how to be a full person in prayer, worship, service to God and each other, in church, work and family relations. Great book for both men and women to read.

This book saved the relationship of a friend of mine. Gets right to the heart of the matter. Answers a ton of real questions. Recommend it to singles, couples, some one in a relationship, coming out of a relationship or thinking about getting inot a relationship.

Covers a lot of territory in the conversation of "Daring to be a Man." The is more to the 'Woman' than to the man; many men I have encountered are more worried about her leaving in a lurch though she always pines' about wanting a real "man," then cannot handle it when he comes into her life.

I thought it was an excellent book. I have used it in our men's study in our congregation.
