Mary originally earned her college degree in elementary education. So where did the passion for inspirational romance books begin? In her head! Her characters would not leave her alone. They kept her from sleeping at night, and focusing on anything else during the day. Over forty titles later, they still keep bothering her to this day - luckily for her readers and fans!
Quiet-natured and creative, Mary also enjoys many crafts such as porcelain doll making, quilting, knitting, and many others!
Neither her dyslexia nor the cat on her laptop has kept her from producing award-winning and bestselling works such as her Quilting Circle series, Mrs. Witherspoon Goes To War, and Newlywed Games. Her published works have been on Publisher’s Weekly bestselling lists several times.
Additionally, she contributes to the writing world as a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers).
She currently resides in Washington State with her husband, a black cat named Buffy, and her favorite weather: the rain.
It was nice to read a book about Michigan and places I’m familiar with, I could picture myself watching the stories grow. I enjoyed the last novela the best, but probably because I could relate to it more personally. Thank you for three stories of love and how God brings those people into our lives.
It is rare that I really, really like all the stories in a novella, but this one did it. I so much appreciated the characters' deep faith with a life lived to match. The relationships, conversation, and choices reflected a love for the Savior and a desire to live in such a way to reflect Him. Refreshing!
A bit too much miscommunication in these stories for my liking, but I read them while visiting Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island, so it was fun to see what was being referenced in the stories.
This is a book I picked up on our way home from Florida. I only bought it because it had something to do with Mackinac Island. Well, it had three separate stories in it. One of them was about some people in Kalkaska, Mi. We go there every summer to visit my family at their cottage so it made the book that much more interesting. The other two stories were located on Mackinac Island, one at the Grand Hotel. It was a very interesting romance book. I am very glad I purchased it.
I wanted to read this book since I have been to Mackinac Island many times. I usually read historic stories but thought maybe I would like this since it would mention places on the island that I had been too & it had me hooked from the first story. Well written, great characters & brought back memories of my times visiting there. Sad to have it end...
This is good escape fiction. I liked the first two better than the third. The third was a little far fetched and the characters weren't as well developed. It was good to have the inclusion of the Christian aspect and it was interesting to learn more about Michigan and the island.
