I wish my attention span was good enough to handle keeping a vegetable garden. I think this book would've been great help. The introductory book I wanted as a new gardener. Covers the basic terms and techniques with minimal fuss in an affordable and practical small book. I expect I'll refer to the vegetable directory and charts often.
This book never failed me. Every time I looked for the information I needed to grow vegetables I found it and more. This is a simple book with no glossy pictures but well written and clear. It is full of useful and practical advices. I like as well the book size, which makes it easier to carry with you. To this day, this is my vegetable garden bible.
It is quite simply the best book ever written on growing fruit and veg. The 'Expert' guides are also good, but this just covers everything you ever wanted to know. I've lost count of the times I've read this cover-to-cover. Brilliant.
