This issue...was somehow worse than the first lol. Am I surprised? No. But hey, at least it helped get me to free shipping on an order!

A little bit of context as to why I didn't like it - the plots don't really make sense (even though a few of the stories are supposedly continuations from the previous volume). I know it's basically smut, but even that wasn't entirely clear in some of the stories lol.

Gorgeous artwork, never every story is a winner but some are pretty good! Wish we would have gotten more volumes! My volume is only in ok condition as I got it in a swap but paperback copies of it were hard to find.

Even as continuations the story lines don't make sense and I didn't like any. Characters really. Gave it 2 instead of 1 star because some of the art was nice.

Lack of decent stories in this volume, but I still liked it well enough.

The art in the first story made all of the characters look exactly the same so I really couldn't tell what the hell was going on. The second story was pretty much a porn fantasy. I used to like that kind of art, but now it looks sloppy. The development of "Night and Day" was likable and I've even grown on the art a bit. Yokoshima pretty much made another porn story, but at least it wasn't as weird as the beginning in the first issue. Finally, I enjoyed Laura Zell's installment - far too short in my opinion. But it did seem to finally move towards the yaoi that is expected for this kind of manga. I would actually finish reading that story if I could.

The first official issue of the new Yaoi magazine from Drama Queen shows a lot of potential. A couple of the authors are excellent writers, with very good art. But, a couple of the stories leave a little to be desired in both elements. Overall, I recommend the magazine and will keep buying if the quality continues.

Update: Drama Queen never released additional issues, and looks to be out of business (or at least not publishing new material). A shame, I was really interested in some of these stories. It makes me hesitant to ever try another yaoi magazine with serialized stories that I might never get an end to.
