With more than 200,000 copies sold, Diamonds in the Dust has become a devotional favorite. Joni shows us precious jewels of biblical truth that lie scattered amidst the gravel of life’s dusty road. “The book you hold in your hands is my treasure trove of diamond chips I’ve collected over the years,” says Joni. “I’ve carefully selected favorite gems, ones I’ve often held to the light, turned this way and that to admire their beauty, diamonds that have made me rich in faith and wealthy in hope.” These 366 meditations uncover a wealth of promise, of eternal truths waiting to transform the events of our lives into facets that catch and reflect God’s glory. Written from the perspective of a woman who traverses life in a wheelchair, this book wipes away the surface grit of suffering and circumstances to reveal the radiant hope that each of us can claim. Diamonds in the Dust takes theology and gives it flesh, breath, and emotion. With eloquence, Joni draws from her own trials and triumphs to enrich us all with the wisdom of Scripture. But she’s not the only one whose everyday life holds such potential. “Look down at your feet,” Joni writes. “The path sparkles. God has placed diamonds in the dust of your road too!”

Diamonds in the Dust: 366 Sparkling Devotions are soul searching. Joni Erickson Tada shares her struggles, heartaches, failures, and victories in her life struggles. I was able to identify easily with struggles as some of mine are the same. She shares the TRUTH in a world of so many other ideas. I really appreciated her honesty in her struggles and her deep rely on the Lord Jesus to make it through each moment of each day.
Having read several of Joni's books and devotionals, I knew I would benefit from this one too. Joni is so honest and open about her personal life and walk with the Lord that her readers will have no trouble in gleaming from her insights and experiences. This is one devotional I will read from year to year.
Some of the devotions in this book really touched me, others we so-so. I didn't read them all, because I decided I wanted something with a bit more meat in it for my morning devotions.
This is a devotional that I've read on and off throughout the years beginning in High School. I also read this my first year in college when I was homesick, a couple of times in my 20's, 30's and now I'm picking it up to read again at 41. Joni begins each day with a scripture at the top of the page, a short personal (and almost always beautiful) story, then ends in a prayer. If you know Joni Tada's story, you it is an incredibly inspiring one about perseverance and faith in God. She shares her perspective on life with life through her stories and you can't help but have a brighter day because of it. A few of my favorite pages were March 5, April 29, and July 7.
The best devotional for these past two seasons of my life along with Sarah Young's , Jesus Calling. I Love Joni's heart and how it come across in herwritings in her writing. I recommend this devotional to all who desire to have
The best devotional for these past two seasons (years) of my life. Along with Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, I found my devotional time to be more in depth with the daily scripture reading. I love Joni' s heart and how it comes across in her writing.
This was a great resource. The devotionals vary in content and style, but showcase the same positive encouragement and down-to-earth practical application that characterizes the author's other works. This devotional can be used by a believer at any stage of the journey, and occasionally delivers profound spiritual insights.
This is a most beautiful cover on the book that you actually can judge the book by it's cover. It is a wonderful devotion book with great wisdom and spiritual encouragement not just for a Christian but for anyone to read. The author, Joni did an outstanding job on this book. It would make a great gift for any occasion & I loved the title "Diamonds in the Dust" will bless & help you.
Although I am not a devotional reading type of person (prefer to find my own lessons through my own experiences with the Lord) I read this back in high school and enjoyed it enough to read it again a couple years later.
I'm a big fan of Joni and am amazed at all the creative work she does. She's a wonderful singer, writer, artist and advocate for the disabled. Her devotional spoke to me personally on many days. I would recommend it to my fellow book club members.
Joni does such a good job with devotionals. There are days that it seems like they are geared specifically for me. This book certainly helped me get through 2011.
Honest, thought-provoking, and life-changing insights on the joys and challenges of following Christ. I read the devotionals years ago and am thoroughly enjoying reading them again.
