Like all the other books in this series I loved every minute of it i don’t read ahead on the website I like to wait for these books and get them in audiobook and savor the the time spent getting lost in the book in this amazing fantasy world finding old friends and making new ones the narrator Andrea Parsneau did another fantastic job

I love this series. I feel like I want to start the audiobook again and listen to it again to see if I missed anything.

I love these audiobooks so much that I don't read ahead (for free) on the website. I wait for the next audiobook and don't want to be spoiled. It's a very rare thing for me to choose patience over immediate gratification. WORTH IT!

Why am I shipping Niers and Erin? How tall is he? Six inches? I don't remember the description accurately. I know in this book he stood on his desk to get work done. Ahh yes, he's "as tall as a cup of water."

This is another good entry in the series. At times it feels a touch repeating but it can also be quite comforting. I wish I was more invested in the battles, which is a major part of this story arc.

This series is truly in a class of its own. an argument could be made that the author loses focus at times and rambles on tangents, but oftentimes those turn out to be the best parts. You might not think it at the time, but the effect of the tangents influences everything thereafter whether you acknowledge it or not, and it's all just so good. I don't want to leave that world or the characters.

The wandering inn is a unique masterpiece which deserves so much more recognition. Andrea Parsneau is BY FAR the best narrator I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to so I highly recommend the audiobook. Pirateaba continues to delivers 10/10 writing, stories, characters, worlds etc and I have never read anything by them that was anything less than perfection. I will, as per usual, wait impatiently, but excitedly, for the next book.

How much I love these books... it is hard to find words. I love these characters so much--and I love Pirateaba's ability to create a character who I would die for with only a few paragraphs. There are so so many epic moments in this book... and while the story is obviously continuing still, it is a wonderful wrap up for this volume/arc.

The last two entries were painful--watching Rags & Laken, two characters I enjoy, stuck in a cycle of violence... this book has a lot of heartbreaking moments, but in this volume I still felt like we were over the most painful times... despite everything the Goblins still go through, it was almost relaxing compared to Rains & Blood of Liscor. In this book, the Goblins, all of them--from Rags to Erin's Bouncers, Garen Redfang and even Reiss and Tremborag--they all get amazing stories, backstories, and OMG moments.

There are a lot of memorable scenes for other characters too--Bird, Erin, and Mrsha stand out in particular--and there are several WTF twists both within the volume... and ones which seem to be setting up for what is to come. Can't wait!

A focused narrative with compelling characters. The author concluded a story arc that has taken 4-5 books to finally resolve itself, and she did so extremely well in my opinion.

The one gripe I have is that the final battle sequence in this book was a bit confusing at times and didn’t seem to have a clear sense of direction. I’ve read better battle sequences (some written by this same author).

Overall, one of the better books in the series and the author continues to improve and hone her craft as the series continues. Looking forward to the next one!

EPIC...cant do less than 5 stars. There is no fantasy saga with such a scope that can take you through joy to sadness and back in few pages. There is no more characters in one place that you love/hate , but understand their reasons than in Wandering Inn.

RTC - This goes above and beyond anything I'd have expected from a webseries... One of the best SFF-books I've ever read (both as just Tears of Liscor but also and especially as the full Volume 5 of TWI) in one of my favourite series in fiction.
TWI is truly something special and one of a kind - in a similar vein things like One Piece are special and one of a kind.

These won't ever happen again and I'm so glad I'm a part of it.

Also I've not been this emotional over a piece of fiction since One Piece actually... maybe Carl did it once or twice but some scenes in this... Wow.

Accurate title

Everytime in surprised by the depth of each character, and the amount of joy and despair we are handed.
Giving us an epic war scene, and feeling each part of the march was incredible.
There was so much tension, and yet Erin still brought giggles of delight

Soooo in earlier books the threat of modern weaponry was ruled a non-issue, but in this book some trebuchets are enough to pose a serious threat to a major city... uhhh which is it? Is modern weaponry a non-issue due to magic or is the threat of even medieval technology a serious game changer?

Imagine a tank rolling up to Liscor if throwing some rocks was a serious issue.

A fitting end to this arc, but a bit of a lunchbag letdown compared to the epic conclusions of books 7 and 8. As usual:

The Good:
- The baseball opening was endearing and a nice palate cleanser for both the characters and readers after a heavy book 8 ending.
- More backstory for Garen and Reiss, teasing more of the key of the Goblin king.
- The Redfang 5 were great throughout. the development of their different classes and training cave goblins to the final battle with Reiss. It was giving TMNT in the best way. RIP.
- The lottery politics was fun to play with the injustice to the goblins but great twist at the end with the secret hoard from the raskgar. Interested to see if the newly acquired riches storyline will play heavily into the next few adventuring group storylines.
- The Bird and Bevussa interlude was delightful. Easily my favourite character and how dare you make me think he was dying Pirateaba.
- The Tremborag flashback/exposition on Graydath and the lords controlling the kings was an interesting lead. A good end for the character as we needed to thin some out.
- The general premise for Tyrion using the goblins to attack Liscor and the political ramifications was a great driver for the story, even if the final execution lacked spectacle. There were a lot of great pre-battle tension scenes and character moments that were giving Helm's Deep.
- Erin punching Olesm in the face and going to jail. Guy was a bigger tool than usual this book.
- The door heist and conversation between Typheneous and Eltistiman. Looking for Typheneous to get some comeuppance soon for straddling both sides constantly.
- Reiss vs Rags betrayal and Pyrite being a badass. Interested to see if we get more on the eating gemstones side of magic after his arc's end.
- The Halfseekers and Garen finally coming together and the reveals of flashbacks during their fight was well done. The last chapter with the Halfseekers really felt anticlimactic after they didn't really get to resolve their conflict.
- The Flooded Water Tribe arriving at the Wandering Inn let Erin shine as our main character and was a nice refresher on the slice-of-life parts of the series. Breaking down cultural prejudices and the dance party was an excellent plot device.
- The interlude cook-off between Gary and Pebblesnatch was adorable and comical.
- Yvonne and Ylas conflict was handled well with some great dialogue.
- Erin being Erin and trying to parlay on the field of battle, great Redfang 5 return and battle sequences with Pawn and the Antinium. Missing a bit of the excitement with the adventurers just sitting on the sidelines. Reiss and Azkerash battle with the RF5 was well done with Garen completing his arc. Some good choices to thin out the goblin characters (despite my sadness for the RF5).
- Great teasers for the next book. Can't wait to see what Goblin was saved by Laken (please be a RF5 - particularly Numbtounge as I want more bard exploration). Lyonette's family drama, Osthia working with Ilvriss, all the remaining goblins united.

The Bad:
- Stop using harried. Choose another word.
- The fuck is up with Laken. None of his actions felt aligned with his character and values until his repentance at the end.
- The battle had way more potential as a siege and it just kind of stopped and the goblins get shafted.

The Meh:
- The Goblin chapters were an improvement, but i still wanted to get back to Liscor each time. Having the 3 main goblin factions and leaders in one setting allowed for some enhanced conflict and exposition.
- Graydath being OP at everything and everyone is getting tiresome.
- Not sure how I feel about the Antinium Queens casually debating overthrowing Liscor and subverting years of planning.
- Krshia's interlude was just fine.
- Magnolia's intervention helped the plot, but was somewhat creatively weak.

Overall, weakest of the arc for me, but still a strong book. Hoping Book 10 and the return of Ryoka doesn't drive me insane.

Well, I certainly didn't expect that I will ever give a 5 star rating to this series, but when I don't want to do anything but read the book all day, then I guess it's fitting.

The story reached it's first true climax, the Goblin Lord attacked Liscor. It was really satisfying to see how the small actions that Erin did in Book #1 influence future of the continent. That is my favourite part of this series really. If you take a look at the cover art, you know what happens in this book and because of that, I think the next Volume will step away from the Wandering Inn and focus on Ryouka who was ignored in this one.

Volume 5 was really good, while it didn't entirely fix everything (we still get too much information about who has to use the outhouse when), it was a huge improvement over the previous Volumes and I just hope, that this trend continues.

This book is the culmination of a lot of plot threads currently in the series. The author does a solid job of giving closure to many story lines while introducing new ones.

This series has actually delivered on what Game of Thrones couldn't. A world spanning story from multiple povs that feel impactful. its a slow burn but fantastic.

Of all the Isekai media I have consumed this by far most accurately depicts how real people would react and how the world would react to them. In long series you need those climax novels and this fits the bill, rejuvenating interest for the next you know 10 books or whatever.
