Short & sweet--timelessly relevant...for those who dare!

This "little" book [only 79 pages] has more wisdom per page than any book I have every read. Please read the following quotes below and ask God to give you that Perfect Trust in Him!
He empties himself in order to be full. He admits he is wrong so he can be declared right. He goes down in order to get up. He is strongest when he is weakest, richest when he is poorest, happiest when he feels the worst. He dies so he can live. He forsakes in order to have He gives away so he can keep. ~A.W. Many, many years ago, Felix of Nola was escaping his enemies, and he too, took temporary refuge in a cave. He had scarcely entered the opening of the cave before a spider began to weave its web across the small opening. With remarkable speed, the insect completely sealed off the mouth of the cave with an intricate web, giving the appearance that the cave had not been entered for many weeks. As Felix’s pursuers passed by they saw the web and didn’t bother to look inside. Later, as the godly fugitive stepped out into the sunlight, he uttered these insightful words: Where God is, a spider’s web is a wall; where He is not, a wall is but a spider’s web. ~Charles Swindoll
Helen Rosevere was a British medical missionary in the Congo years ago during an uprising. Her faith was strong and her trust was confident, yet she was raped and assaulted and treated brutally. This book changed how I think about my trust in God. I always seemed to approach God as if he was my servant and reading this helped me to realize that he is my Father and Master not my servant.

One to Keep on Hand
This is a great little book. I read it in two days! It teaches us how important trusting God is to the Christian life. With biblical quotes and examples of people from the bible, Charles Swindoll shows us that we can have faith and don't have to be perfect to have it. He teaches us how worry is so against the Christian faith. I love the biblical quotes at the end, but he missed one, under worry, Philippians 4:6-7.

Perfect Trust is a small but powerful book. Its size belies the profound wisdom it contains. This is a great little book to use devotionally to increase trust in God. It can be given as a small gift. There are memorable quotes throughout. One of my favorite is “When God says no it’s not necessarily discipline or rejection. It may simply be redirection.” This little book is a gem.

One of Swindoll’s better books, Perfect Trust deals with believer’s anxiety of those things that should be given to God. A short book, there is no fluff here, just straightforward teaching that is mostly spot on. A great introduction to Swindoll’s style.

As usual, an outstanding read by Charles Swindoll. He reminds us of God’s sovereignty in our lives and in all things. Life is not without trials and difficulties. In fact, Jesus clearly tells us that. However, we don’t have to walk through them alone. We can also be sure that there are reasons for tough times. We may or may not discover these reasons this side of heaven, but we can be sure as children of God that they are for our good and His glory. This little book is a good reference to revisit from time to time as a reminder of who God is and why we can lay all our burdens at the cross of Jesus.

This book is a treasure trove of God's scripture and love for us. Pastor Chuck Swindoll is masterful at giving sound practical advise backed by God's Holy Scriptures. The writing is short and sweet and has truly added tremendous richness to my life. I am thankful this man of God has shared wonderful insights to growing closer to God and trusting him more.

In true Chuck Swindoll fashion, he manages to bring the Scriptures to life and I am always better after I have read one of Chuck’s books. This is a smaller gift version hardcover. A short read but excellent!
