1) The "Owly" series won the 2006 Ignatz Award for Outstanding Series.
2) K-2
3) The story of an owl who discovers his watering can has a leak in it and attempts to fix it. In the process of doing so, he discovers a bird bath contest and decides to enter it.
4) A charming story, illustrated in black and white, that showcases how winning isn't the most important thing in the world. The cute characters will draw in any young reader.
5) If there is an upcoming Science Fair (or other sort of showcase event), this could be a great book to read to let kids know that winning isn't everything.
