Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

An excellent anthology of 37 alternative comics, mostly from different writers, but there were a few repeats. Picked it up because of Noah Van Sciver, Malachi Ward, Nick Drnaso and Eleanor Davis, but found a few new writers I really like including Chick Forsman and Gabrielle Bell. Definitely glad I picked this up and looking forward to delving into the back issues. This was the last volume in the Mome series, it seems very much like a precursor to the more recent Now Comics Anthology. I'd recommend to anyone who likes alternative comics or likes a variety of different artwork and styles.

Recommended if you enjoy well-done short story collections. I read some reviews that mention that some of the material is filler. I kind of a agree, but it isn't more than a few pages. I'm all for new styles, absurdism, and experimentation; but the few short pieces that I didn't like seemed more like works-in-progress with no real defined point.

The very first story, Nothing Eve, by Kurt Wolfgang was the most fun. He points out that many readers who were following these episodic pieces are going to be disappointed to find out that if they want to know how the story ends they will have to plunk down money for a graphic novel filled with material that they already bought once before.

The last Mome - a sad day indeed. This series anthology introduced me to a lot of my current favorite artists, and it gave a lot of people a chance to showcase their work. This last volume is packed with quality talent.

When it's good, it's grand. When it's not grand, it's just ok. But I've given it four stars for the sheer number of talents in it.

Awesome collection of diverse random graphic storytelling, by a variety of interesting artists and writers.

Sad to to see this is the last of these MOME collections.
