Okay, okay, okay. You're thinking, "how could anyone rate a book full of pirate rape as 5 stars?" Well, I can and did.
First, I will preface this by saying that this book is meant to be no more than a collection of porn scenes for those who get off on non-con and bondage/torture. Not for everyone but I think toe sucking is gross so to each his own. And this is not a book to read cover to cover in one sitting as another reviewer has pointed out. It's perfect to read scene by scene especially when one's beloved mainstream erotica sex scenes pan out to be duds. Then you go back to your romance after you get off and go to sleep. Weird? Maybe but like I said before, to each his own.
This book got 5 stars from me because it was pretty darn unique for me. The men were all completely gross in their physical attributes and Powerone never let you forget how gross these guys were. I didn't get off on that but I suppose it added something though I kind of tuned that fact out while reading. The pinching roach scene was not a favorite of mine and it was easily skippable during other reads. The scenes were all intense and there weren't too many torture devices as some of Powerone's other novels incorporate. It also got 5 stars because I re-read many scenes, many times when I was needing battery-operated assistance. I certainly got my money's worth. The "plot" did actually do a full circle to the ending which was surprising as I never really expect much of an ending from my porn. And for the captives that were ravished, they ended up enjoying it (for the most part) and we got a happily ever after from all:) *giggle*
So, if non-con and BDSM is your thing, give this one a try. It's pretty intense and one of my three favorites by Powerone.

July 18, 2012This is the perfect example of bad reviews selling a book. I see "Oh, this is yucky evil pirate rape! I hate it!"

Lots of sex and yes it does have some plot mixed in with all the the sex. My advice if you can (which I can't) is to split up the book and don't read it all at the same time(which I cant do, its just goes against something in me to read more than one at a time). Because while the sex is pretty freaking hot most of the time there's just so much of it. It's just pretty much one sex scene after another. This is not a short story either, if you go by Amazon its 183 pages, which I don't think its that long but its pretty close.
The ending was perfect. Although the romantic in me wished it had another ending. This is in no way a romance book BTW. This is about pirate's raping their captives, and the captives becoming conditioned to love it. The sex was cruel and disturbing at times. But I still loved it.
The one thing I could have done without is the African cockroach scene. ~shudders~ I'm gonna place that scene up there with the infamous pig-men scene that still gives me nightmares.
