The Santa Bet by Tracy Krimmer was a sweet addition to the Run, Run, Rudolph Christmas anthology. I really loved the relationship between Cora and Travis, two friends who have often wondered what it might be like to take their friendship to the next level, but neither one wants to potentially ruin what they already have. Both characters are more than believable and relatable, considering that Cora owns the local bookstore, while Travis is the package delivery man. He often stops in to drop off packages, which has helped to foster the friendship between them through conversation and getting to know one another better.
After a winter storm passes through and they’re given an opportunity to spend time together, just the two of them, everything changes, and what I’d expected to happen didn’t. Ordinarily, it’s the guy who gets relationship shy and has a tough time figuring out his feelings, so it was refreshing to see that Cora is the one who second-guesses everything, while Travis is sure on how he feels about Cora. It gave a unique twist to the story, and when Cora’s brother steps in to attempt to save the day, so to speak, I thought that was an interesting way to add another element to this novella. It’s nice to see characters who aren’t perfect and at times, need a subtle kick in the bottom to ensure they don’t lose out on something potentially good.
Sprinkled everywhere are holiday elements that made me yearn for Douglas firs–my tree of choice–and twinkling lights and the smell of cinnamon and gingerbread cookies. At one point, Travis points out that Cora is Christmas, and that was very apparent by the way she decorated her bookstore, and it even convinces a more Grinchly Travis to see things a little differently when it comes to the holiday season. The Santa Bet really was an excellent choice for this anthology, and a holly jolly five-star experience!
This review is for Chef's Kiss by Cerise Rose This is a sweet second chance romance with a friends to lovers storyline. The author brings strong characters and weaves a short, fast paced feel good romance. It's well written and is an enjoyable read.

This review is for "Don't They Know It's Christmas" by Holly Kerr. This is a sweet, short read all about second chances. Back in high school, Ethan and Davis were in love. However, her parents talk her into breaking things off with her. Soon after, Davis had a child with Davis's best friend....
Fast forward 13 years and Ethan is back in town working at the same hospital as Davis. He has missed Davis and would like to reconcile, but Davis is still hurt by the situation. Can he ever make things better between them?
For "The Santa Bet" by Tracy Krimmer, I gave 5 stars. Short and sweet, this has all of the holiday feels! I loved this story!!!
Cora loves Christmas and has decorated her bookstore like a winter wonderland, much to the amusement of her friend and delivery man, Travis. He is a minimalist when it comes to the season.
When an opportunity for a sleepover in a museum for charity arises, Cora is excited for Travis to go with her, so much so she places a bet with him - if he wins, she'll take down the excess decorations and if he loses, he'll play Santa at her bookstore. After the event, Travis risks asking Cora out. However, Cora has placed him firmly in the friend zone...

I'm leaving this review for Cupid's First Christmas by Tana Jenkins. What a sweet little romance! Winter on Mackinac Island is a new twist on island romance - at least for me. And I liked how she handled it with a Christmas town that I could visualize and a couple I totally rooted for. The story gave me all the feels!
I've got to say, The Santa Bet by Tracy Krimmer made me wish for snow and got me excited for the holiday season.
Cora is a bookshop owner who goes all out for Christmas. She puts up multiple trees and turns her shop into a winter wonderland. Travis, her regular delivery man, on the other hand, thinks it's all a bit much. But when their competitive nature forces some things to change, feelings start to change too.
Tracy Krimmer is great at creating characters who feel real and jump off the page and The Santa Bet is no different. Both Cora and Travis feel like people you know and people you want to root for. On top of that, the setting of a cozy bookstore in a busy city in winter is the perfect backdrop for this story.
I look forward to seeing what other stories are featured in this anthology and I'm sure that I'll be re-reading this one again once the snow starts falling. (I can't wait!).

Don’t they know it’s Christmas by Holly Kerr A (bitter) sweet story. I had never read this author's work before. This story can be read very well on its own, but because of the references to other people you notice that it is a book from a series. Davis and Ethan have a history together and recently became colleagues at the same hospital. While Ethan does everything he can to make amends with Davis, Davis can't get over the grief her great love Ethan and her best friend Darcy have put her through by having a child together. In the spirit of Christmas, they finally succeed in giving the past a place. Well written, the author manages to make the reader sympathize with the main characters and feel their hurt. She has a light, fluent writing style, For the record: technically there is no question of cheating, but for me emotionally there is.

This review is for Don’t they know it’s Christmas by Holly Kerr
This was a fast paced story that made me go through all the emotions along with the characters. How do you forgive other when you feel they have wronged you in the worst way? Holly tackles that question in her story in a tasteful way. I loved seeing reconciliation amongst the characters. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of lighthearted and fun moments in this book too. A must read if you like a mix of Christmas, cute doctors and finding love again.

Don't They Know it's Christmas by Holly Kerr It might have something to do with the season, but I feel like I’m saying this a lot: “OMG! That was such a sweet story”. It’s a second chance, and those are more powerful than Kryptonite to bring me to my knees. It gave me a chance to see some of my favorite characters from previous books from a slightly different angle. And it’s full of hope, forgiveness, and all of the magic of the holiday season. I have read books by most of these authors. This is my review about just "Don't They Know It's Christmas" by Holly Kerr
Christmas Novella From the 'Don't' Series This is a cute novella that features the personalities from the 'Don't' series of romances. The folks at the heart of this story are not mentioned in the series much, which makes this all the better. The story is sweet and you'll love the ending. Even if you have not read the series, this is a great Christmas romance.
This review is for Chef's Kiss by Cerise Rose. It's a nice and sweet story about a couple how grow up together and was best friends. Then something happens that breaks them apart and now years later they are forced to spend Christmas together. Friends to frenemies to lovers. The story runs like a Hallmark moment. Recommends to any one how want some romantic reading and feel good this season.
Don't they know it's Christmas I love the Don't series so I enjoyed reading about Davis and Ethan but I never expected them to overcome their hurt and disappointment of what happened 14 years ago. It's truly a Christmas miracle and I'd love to read more about them.

This review is for Don't They Know It's Christmas by Holly Kerr. It is a sweet, funny, second chance romance. 13 years before Davis' parents made Davis break up with Ethan. She has never gotten over it. Could working in the same hospital and the magic of Christmas give them a second chance? Davis' mother is still a piece of work! I really enjoyed this story.
What a fun and festive anthology! I loved all the sweet stories. They had great storylines and amazing characters. Just adorable stories. I'm ready to put up multiple trees, watch endless Christmas movies and read holiday books while sipping hot cocoa.

A very entertaining story that had some amazing moments of emotional drama and angst. I loved this book. I found it believable and relatable. I loved how the author wrote the reveals - well placed and woven into the story perfectly in my opinion. Nicely done.

These stories are short and sweet. I'm reviewing The Santa Bet. Its about Cora and Travis and how they end up together. He's a delivery driver and she owns a book store. He's had feelings for her for a while and she's been fighting her feelings. He eventually convinces her that he really does want the relationship though.
An enjoyable rom-com that will keep a smile on your face and give you some laugh-out-loud moments. The characters are fun, easy to get to know and it's evident the attraction between them is still alive after several years of being apart.

3.5* Good story up to a point and then it suddenly it felt rushed and somehow unreal towards the end. Shame as I had looked forward to the continuation of the series.
