Honor in Exile: Books 1-3: Starship Honor, Beyond the Belt, Forever Enemy

Rate this book
HUMANITY HAS FALLEN. ONLY ONE SHIP CAN SAVE US.

After a disastrous encounter with an alien species, Captain Roc Masters finds himself exiled on a rundown station in the asteroid belt, commanding an ancient starship with a near-mutinous crew.

Just as he finally resigns himself to his fate, the aliens return to attack Earth.

With the inner worlds crumbling and most of the Earth and Martian navies sidelined or destroyed, it's up to Roc and his lone starship to hold the line.

He knows he must gather together what little humanity there is beyond the asteroid belt and make a stand against the aliens.

But first, he'll have to survive the armada sent to finish him off.

Honor in Books 1-3 contains the first three books in the series, a sci-fi adventure that features endless action, alien foes, and the worst—and best—of humanity.

Gets better as it goes on

This is a story that is getting better and better. When Captain Roc Masters defends Earth against an alien vessel he is stripped of command and sent to an obsolete destryer in the outer reaches a the solar system with a misfit crew of drunks, addicts and unsavoury people When Earth is betrayed by the aliens, he begins a fight back. The story starts off a little weakly but improved as it evolves giving the characters more depth, more and better action and some good ideas. Betrayals and conspiracies, pirates and alien rebels both help and hinder him in his quest. Overall these were a worthwhile read and I look forward to following the story when the next instalment becomes available.

thrilling underdog to hero and underdog to ?

Love the characters, the story, sub stories, flow of the writing and the ups and downs of it all.

So many things going on within the main story frame. Exciting, thought provoking, deceit, trust, disunity, unity, loyalty, disloyalty, hope and courage are just of the competing factors through the first three books of this series.

Unique premise, interesting characters, and lots of action. Exciting spaceship battles and exciting individual battles. This is a great read. Yes, alien invasion stories abound, but How the aliens took over is unique. At least I haven't seen another like it.

Very believable. Non stop action. Character development first class. Read through in one sitting. Hard to put down. Ready for the follow up

The HONOR IN EXILE series is old-fashioned, heroic, military science fiction, and it is WONDERFUL! I never read a book more than once, but I’ve already read STARSHIP HONOR: Book 1 and BEYOND THE BELT: Book 2 twice with great pleasure. Set aside your critical thinking, lean back, and just be entertained!
