Anna Dewdney was an award-winning children's-book author, illustrator, teacher, mother, and enthusiastic proponent of literacy and reading aloud to children. She was the author of the bestselling Llama Llama Red Pajama series of picturebooks, among many others. She lived with her partner Reed Duncan in Vermont where she worked, gardened, and spent time with her daughters and dogs.
The pairings make a bit more sense in context than The Very Hungry Caterpillar Eats Snacks but that's because Llama Llama is at school where he can do things. Hopefully concepts H will pick up next year.
Jack borrowed this book from the Columbus Metropolitan Library. I picked it because he likes other llama llama books.
The opposites concept is okay here, but some of the differences are kind of subtle and hard to explain. Jack liked llama llama, mainly for the sound of the words I think, but he did listen to the whole book and knew some of the opposites.
Rosie’s favourite book is “Llama Llama Red Pajama” so we borrowed this from the library. I’m not sold on the examples of opposites, but it made my baby laugh so YAY.
