This book profiles various oddball or lesser known characters from the DC universe. The tone is more respectful and reverent than a lot of books of this type. Who knew you could treat Matter Eater Lad, Dogwelder, or Arm-Fall-Off-Boy with dignity? Some of the choices were a little strange to me but I guess normies have never heard of Kirby creations like Black Racer and the Forever People.

A fun, light read which explores the more unusual characters in the DC multiverse. As interesting and informative as this book is, I did leave it feeling it had barely scratched the surface of DC’s more obscure and unique creations. Here’s hoping for further volumes in the future

A very good reference book for more unknown heroes. Cleverly written, funny and informative, as expected from this author.
