Businesswoman and retail career coach, Tonja Ayers can now add successful self-help author to her list of credits. As one of Detroit’s most sought-after entrepreneurs, she has spent years coaching and advising many eager novices on the appropriate steps to opening a business, prompting her to finally write her handbook, How to Start Your Own Business. The book offers proven methods in an easy to follow format, listing the ten key components Ms. Ayers believes are critical to making a mark in the commercial and retail arenas. “Many people want to open a business, but lack the knowledge of how to get it up and running,” she says. “This book provides a road map for the inexperienced entrepreneur.” As a result of her many successful ventures, Ms. Ayers has become a personal confidante to her regular clients. I absolutely love hood books with a twist; this book came with a twist plot and movie on Tubi. The simplicity of the novel kept me entertained and made the book enjoyable. Very fun read and even much more entertaining to discuss with friends after viewing the movie. I would suggest reading the book then watching the movie not vice versa. #DetroitAuthor #TheShoeLady #Tubi #EyeCUApprovedAuthor #EyeCUReadingApproved #Feb2023
Rotten was the first book I've read by Detroit native, Tanja Ayers. This book was a quick read, full of drama. The characters were very relatable. Although, the story was short, I did enjoy it. If you're looking for a quick read grab Rotten by Tanja Ayers.
I thought the book was well written and had a good storyline. There was never a dull moment in the lives of the main characters. It was so much to unpack and the ending seemed to come too soon. It left so much to explore in book two. There has to be one coming.
I don’t know where to start but I need to know about the sequel because that cliffhanger….
Rotten was an easy read that encompassed the dysfunctional love life of 4 women. With the level of drama within Rotten, each character could have a stand alone book of their own.
I would have like the storylines to be more developed as it appeared rushed throughout especially in the end.
I couldn't think of a better title for this book.. There were a few characters who were just that, Rotten. Apple didn't have the best life growing up but she had the love of her grandmother and cousins. This story shows how we can become the very thing that we loathe in others. I felt like most of the characters got what they deserved or allowed. I'm looking forward to seeing what these characters do next.
