10 Powerful Strategies For Conflict De-Escalation : How To Achieve Conflict Resolution Through Effective Communication

Rate this book
This book is all about how to achieve conflict resolution through 10 powerful strategies.I was working for a company when I was called by HR to deal with an employee who had been terminated but refusing to leave the building!

I listened for 15 minutes to what the employee had to say, never interrupted. I just let them get it all out. Just saying “What we have to resolve right now is that you have been terminated and staying here is not an option” I then gave them two positive choices and one bad. And of course, they took a positive choice and left!

HR praised my work, but I hadn’t done anything special. It’s the reason I wrote this book. To provide everyday de-escalation techniques to give you the same understanding and empowerment that I had that day. So whatever conflict arises in your business, employment or personal life. You’ll be equipped to take action!

Here’s the 10 strategiesStrategy one - Give positive choices
Strategy two - Know the types of anger
Strategy three - How to respond to anger
Strategy four - Finding the voice of reason
Strategy five - Use your voice and body language
Strategy six - Active listening/distraction
Strategy seven - Foster good conversations
Strategy nine - Remember personal safety
Strategy ten - Know if you’re the right person
