I could not resist picking up this vintage book on vintage 1950s patio barbecuing recipes, updated to the 1990s vintage way of eating. Follow that?

The book is filled with just about everything you would want in replicating a mid-century shindig with the neighbors or family.

Nice two-fer, with delightful 50's recipes - quick and easy and classic. The two-fer is the marvelous textiles that illustrate the work. Period aprons, towels, tablecloths - all conversatonal textiles that are beautiful to look at and amusing to think of. The authors must have a significant collection to have amassed such beautiful examples that so closely tie in to the recipes and culinary narratives.
