it's a well written novel. It seems to drag a bit for me since I'm not a huge Tracy fan, only being vaguely familiar with the multiple formats he is in. A lot of explanations and stories for side characters that I'm sure are interesting to true Dick Tracy fans, but to me, it just slowed it down. Tracy and his long-time fiance Tess are getting married on TV to get the wedding paid for. Only a sniper is waiting and takes a shot at Tracy. The detective gets his man, at least the body, but knows there must be somebody else behind it. So, while planning another wedding and investigating this attempt on his life, more crimes pop up that are connected.

Recommended, all in all. I did enjoy it, even though it did drag. The ending was well done, and I will look for the other Collins' Tracy books.
