El libro más ingenioso de la colección.
Una llamada equivocada en la que sin querer escuchas la conversación de unos desconocidos, cuyas intenciones no se oyen para nada buenas, que se dicen la ubicación de algo valioso.
Un desafío, que si eres curioso te arriesgarías a intentar.
Lo mejor es que no será tan sencillo, porque deberás acertar en acertijos, direcciones, imágenes que no son lo que parecen, mientras le sigues la pista a odiosos niños que quieren llegar antes de ti y por supuesto, hacer que aquellos que te dijeron ese secreto sin querer no se den cuenta nunca de que también te has unido a su búsqueda.

1/29/2015: This book is a fantastic story set in a fantastic series: The Mystery Club. It takes place in Yorkshire, England and features 3 teenaged girls: Holly, Belinda, and Tracy. The girls are clearly defined and well drawn characters. The mystery is rather unique and suspenseful. Literally, crossed telephone lines allow the girls to hear a message about a Duke and a hidden treasure- an amulet. From that they are able to figure out where to go and they find a riddle that should tell them where the treasure is. But a desperate man wants the treasure for himself and he won't stop at anything to get it.
I read this whole series years ago and just re-read this one for an article I'm writing. I highly recommend this series.
2/24/25: And I just read this for the third time. Holly's home is being remodeled and when she is making a phone call, crossed lines let her hear a partial conversation. Her pesky brother Jamie vows to find the treasure, an amulet stolen by a highwayman 200 years ago, before the girls. What follows is following clues in a treasure hunt that becomes deadly serious when they run up against a desperate man who wants the amulet for himself. I love mysteries that involve hidden tunnels and the such. This book is terrific.

Lo compré en un bazar por casualidad, cuando recién estaba empezando a leer, ya que por su tamaño y su historia, me habían llamado mucho la atención. Y definitivamente, una de las mejores decisiones que pude tomar. ¡Qué historia más genial! Y no solo la historia, los personajes no se quedan atrás. Eso sí, en algunas ocasiones te hace pasar un mal rato importante... Pero eso es lo genial de este libro. Las emociones que te hace sentir. Sin duda, compraré otros más de esta autora, porque ya echo de menos a estas chicas ( Y a un gamberrillo que no se queda atrás, por cierto...)

I wish I could give this one 10 stars! I read it in school (which was more than a decade back!) but I still remember this one! Its so damn fantastic!! :D :D
