Both propeller-driven and jet-engine airplanes are shown in detail. Kids also discover the principles that allow a heavy airplane to rise and remain in the air, and to maneuver, climb, dive, and come to a safe landing. The profusely illustrated How It Works Books present brief histories of engineering development. Detail drawings show mechanical parts and cut-away illustrations show how the parts are assembled and work together. This book's lift-the-flap illustrations reveal successive layers of detail in airplane construction.
This book is the kind of book i like to call a show and tell book because its a pop out book it shows you what you are reading about then it will explane what you are reading. This book will tell you about how the things on the plane indivisualy effect the plane, it will tell you about the propellers air conditioning jets fighter planes and first class, basicly everything involvling a plane is in this book.
I would rate this book a three because I personally dont like nonfiction. But this is a short read and the popouts make it more fun but the facts where strait facts and boring ones to so i did not like this book.
This book was honestly pretty cool. I chose it to read it fast as an assignment to get it done, which I did, indeed read it fast but that's out of the picture. This book informs you on exactly what it says it will do, and adds more texture and detail because you can see inside of the planes, see how they work, and the book is interactive.
I think this book is honestly very cool and the illustrator/author of this book did really good.
